Been with LTR for a year. She was basically ghosted by her ex six months before us. They were together for six months so it was still new at the time.

We're out of town and he texts her "hey" as I'm holding her phone, then asks some gay shot about "why did you like me in the beginning". I ask her "what's up?" and proceeds to tell me he's been trying to reach out over the last week or two.

Naturally, the other texts were deleted so when we get back in town a couple days ago I look at her iPad and her messages to him are still there.

"Why are you texting me?"

"Yes I loved you but I've moved on and so should you"

"What do you want to talk about. Start with an apology."

"We can't be together. Stop texting me. I have nothing to say."

Those lasted over the course of a week. And this could be me rationalizing for her but I get that ghosting can be fucked up for people and I'm my experience girls always look for closure. Hell I still think about homies that ghosted our friends group years ago.

I'm not necessarily worried about cheating cause homeboy lives 500 miles away now, but I've been around the block and see it as her leaving an opening. I've been around the block and know AWALT and must be able walk at any time.
