Experience with Testosterone Replacement Therapy, specifically if it changes your relationship with your wife.

So I am about to take the plunge with TRT, my bloods were low and tried a month on Clomid which made me a bit of a bitch. Should get my first injection next week. I’ve been consistently lifting for 10+ months with basically nothing to show for it. Hoping this makes a difference there, and with focus/brain fog etc. But my questions for anyone here who is on TRT- did it change your relationship with your wife? I’ve heard anecdotal stories of men saying women are more sexual with them once they raised their T...and god knows it can make your more “Alpha”. I’m not looking for a magic bullet, I am putting in the work, just interested if you fellas have experienced this.

Edit: I’m gonna go back to lurking, I’m not ready for the show.

I started pumping Test in my body and got a divorce.

YMMV

[–]Tyred_Biggums5 points6 points  (0 children) | Copy

My first injection was on our official date of separation.

Serendipitous.

Red, for real, I would see this as an absolute win!

Yes, I can always make more money.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

I seem to be heading in this same direction.

it could help you become less of a faggot, but you still have to do the work:

Lift, sidebar, STFU

There’s plenty of jacked dudes who are faggots because they don’t do the work. If you are just a jacked faggot, it’s still unattractive. However putting in the work on TRT if your bloods are low will certainly help... you’ll see gains pretty quickly if you hit the gym hard.

In my case, I was hitting the gym pretty hard just to maintain, so I went onto TRT with the attitude of putting in even more effort at the gym. I added 10-15 pounds of muscle in a year (at 51 yrs old). My frame got much better also, and I started getting lots of IOI’s and even proposals to have sex.

But this isn’t about getting the girl to fuck you. This is about you- that’s where the frame plays in.

[–]BlueMyLoad69[S] 0 points1 point  (5 children) | Copy

I get all that, what I’m getting at is this quasi-scientific (bro-science) claim that women can sense high T and are aroused by men who have it. Wondering if anyone notices a change in their wife’s attraction once they start injecting even before getting bigger muscles, confidence etc.

[–]Tyred_Biggums13 points14 points  (0 children) | Copy

This post and especially this reply show you’re just seeking validation from your wife’s attraction.

If we say “yes it increases attraction” you’re going to think “oh yay my magical fix to being a faggot”. If we say “no, it doesn’t” - you’re going to then move on the next validation seeking thing: “would wearing nicer clothes increase my wife’s attraction?”

Who the fuck cares.

[–]BobbyPeruRed Beret3 points4 points  (3 children) | Copy

I’ve noticed a huge difference with women in general, but you have to remember there are other variables like increased muscle mass, strong frame, better dressing, increase confidence ... etc... so, it’s tough to conclusively say whether women can sense high T... but that’s just more “bro science.”

Which came first, the chicken or the egg?

At the end of the day it doesn’t matter. Improve your physique for you, work on your frame, and you will see results in all areas of your life

[–]SoggyTrainCucked by machines5 points6 points  (1 child) | Copy

This. You will likely start feeling and acting differently within 48 hours, although you will look exactly the same and have the same amount of muscle. If your wife fucks you, is it because your T is higher or is it because you have a different spark to your personality? Who gives a shit?

[–]hack3geRed Beret1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

She likely still won’t fuck him because he’s a giant dancing monkey faggot.

He’s gonna start injecting shit because he wants an easy way for his wife to fuck him. We are starting to take things to a never before seen level of faggotry.

Thanks. Working on it all. Appreciate the feedback.

[–]An_Actual_Politician5 points6 points  (5 children) | Copy

I think you're putting too much of the focus on her here. Maybe she will respond, maybe she won't. Whatever the fuck mood a woman is in at the moment isn't a barometer of a man's success.

If you gain muscle mass, lift heavier and act more like a man in the process then it's a success, right? She doesn't factor into this in the least. If you meet your real goals here then there will be plenty of other women lining up to take her place, even if just for a night.

[–]BlueMyLoad69[S] 2 points3 points  (4 children) | Copy

This is a valid point, I am in her frame too much. For real though when dudes here talk about “Larping” the Red Pill and shit that hits me hard. Been at it since Feb with nothing really to show for it - I’m hoping fixing my T will help me stop being such a fucking faggot. I read all the books, I lift consistently and I feel like I’m just spinning my wheels.

[–]bigkids0 points1 point  (3 children) | Copy

What have you done in the past to fix your low levels once you got your blood tests in?

[–]BlueMyLoad69[S] 2 points3 points  (2 children) | Copy

Eating high protein, lifting consistently, getting minimum 8 hours sleep every night and losing weight. At the end of all that I went down!

[–]arm_candy0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy

How long have you been losing weight?

Losing weight depresses your hormones. Once you’re eating at maintenance or above your hormones should rebound from that, though.

[–]BlueMyLoad69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Yes, my first low reading was while I was losing weight, my middle low reading was at a stable rate and my 3rd low reading was while I was gaining weight (between Thanksgiving and Xmas). I’m not jumping on without careful consideration.

[–]Tyred_Biggums2 points3 points  (2 children) | Copy

Even with low T, you still should have some good gains after 10 months of lifting.

How low are we talking?

My T was 268 and was pretty much that level for the last year but I’ve still gained a lot lifting.

If you’re not gaining you need to look at the other factors too - diet and rest. What program are you running?

[–]BlueMyLoad69[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy

I started with Strong Lifts and saw lots of strength gains but only marginal muscle gains. Now I’m running a bro-split (push/pull/legs) at my gym and working with a lot of machines. I never felt my lats for example engage when I did Bent Over Rows, and listened to a great podcast on MindPump about getting used to the feeling of muscles engaging on machines and then going back to compounds, so that’s where I’ve been since a little before Xmas. 10-12 reps with moderate weight and really trying to engage the right muscle groups.

[–]Escape_From_Betacraz0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Have you been gaining or losing weight or staying at the same levels? I'm 24 and assume my T levels are fine. Spent a good 8 months lifting and not eating enough, fuck all changed apart from strength. Once I started bulking and actually consistently gaining weight things started changing pretty quickly.

[–]NeoTheJuanDJ1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy

If you have to get on TRT to get your wife to fuck you, you’ve got a hell of a lot more problems than just low T. Becoming a high value man, by stfu, reading the sidebar, lifting sleeping and eating right, as well as putting in the work to improve is how you will be more successful with just about every area of your life. (Women are a small fraction of the overall picture AT BEST). Whether your wife reciprocates by noticing or even giving a fuck about your T levels is irrelevant to your happiness. the only thing (in regards to sex) that should be crossing your mind is: Am I getting laid as often as I’d like? And if not, how do I increase my sexual frequency?” It ends there. The more important thing you should be focusing on is, how am I progressing FOR ME with my goals and mission? And, does T serve me here and am I seeing results? (Wife’s validation irrelevant).

Again, your question implies you are new, so I’m guessing you have a few lagging unattractive qualities that you haven’t sorted out yet. The T is but a small minuscule fraction of the overall equation, it will never be the fix it all solution, but is a step in the right direction in improving and moving along with your MAP and mission. Also, getting on TRT just to elicit a desired reaction or a reaction at all from your wife is covert contract, is validation seeking, lacks frame, and implies you are not doing this with yourself as your own mental point of origin. She shouldn’t even be crossing your mind. If you go on TRT, she may notice the changes in you and fuck you more. Or not. The only thought process should be “am I getting laid as often as I would like to?”, and “how do I improve to become more successful with my goals and move on the direction I set out for myself?” That’s it. If you want to get laid more, there’s plenty of stuff here to help. But don’t change your chemistry just to see if your wife will notice and fuck you more often.

  • Also your diet and sleep may be playing more of a role in your hormones/ lack of gains than you may think, and if you get on TRT, you’ll still need to fix these areas to fully gain the benefits of it.

[–]BlueMyLoad69[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

Yeah, nope, not getting on TRT to see if my wife will fuck me more. I’m getting on TRT because my Testosterone is low for an 80 year old Diabetic with a pacemaker, which has left me me lethargic, unfocused, having trouble putting on muscles and an all around faggot. So I’m going on T to fix all the above, and wondering if it could positively effect my wife’s desire for me as well. That would be a nice bonus.

[–]2ndalRed Beret1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

TRT is not some magic serum that will solidify your frame and make you a sex god that woman can't keep their hands off. It will just increase your testosterone levels.

About 4 years ago my T levels were ~105 (reference range is 264-916)

I went on T and sure it made a big difference with the low T symptoms I was having (low energy, fatigue mostly), but didn't do much else. there was probably some placebo effect happening for other things but that didn't last.

What DID help was continuing to put in the work day after day

[–]hack3geRed Beret1 point2 points  (3 children) | Copy

The clomid didn’t make you a bitch you already were one....

I started TRT and developed a taste for younger tighter woman.

P.S. - you seem to be a faggot looking for a cheat code - TRT doesn’t build frame or teach you how to have boundaries - there are plenty of juiced up muscle heads that are beta as fuck.

[–]WolfofAllStreetz0 points1 point  (2 children) | Copy

Agree here, something about the 20-24 year olds that drives me batty now.

[–]hack3geRed Beret0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy

If you haven’t already just wait until you see the crazy shit they do and how tight they are. I had no idea that it would be as good as it is.

[–]WolfofAllStreetz0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Yea I noticed, I don’t remember them being like that when I was that age but maybe im jaded now.

[–]0io-Tsundere0 points1 point  (8 children) | Copy

Yes, if you need it, and if you put in all the work, then it might make a huge difference.

[–]BlueMyLoad69[S] 1 point2 points  (7 children) | Copy

I definitely need it (T is at 233 NG/DL, which means I can officially compete in the Olympics as a woman. That’s not a joke). And I’m definitely putting in the work.

[–]0io-Tsundere1 point2 points  (6 children) | Copy

If you get T over 800 Ng/DL it will make a huge difference. You might still have a year or two before the wife has the reaction you're looking for though. Takes a while for your body to recomp and put on muscle, and then with daily exposure to your saliva and semen wife is getting microdosed with T which starts influencing her behaviour as well. If I were you, I would start on HCG right now too. That also makes a big difference.

You're basically doing a sex change back to male from castrate or female levels so it's not overnight. A few months to see changes at the gym, maybe a year before your wife's friends start making comments and flirting with you. Only when other women are chasing you does wife start finding excuses to have sex with you in the car or the elevator. It's a long journey and you have to put in all the work. Realistically it's going to take a few years.

[–]bigkids1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

Everything /u/0io- said is money

[–]BlueMyLoad69[S] 0 points1 point  (4 children) | Copy

Yeah, actually I’m not sure about HCG. I don’t want anymore kids, and right now the plan was to add HCG if my balls shrink. Why do you suggest HCG? I’ve heard other guys in the Testosterone thread swear by it but I’m not sure what else it does beside protect fertility/ball size.

[–]0io-Tsundere2 points3 points  (1 child) | Copy

Your testicles make more than just sperm and testosterone, if you shut them down completely it will contribute to the brain fog and other undesirable things you want to avoid. It's better to keep them alive.

from https://www.testosteronewisdom.com/human-chorionic-gonadotropin-pregnenolone-and-dhea/

Why we need hCG: 1. IMPORTANT: To produce Pregnenelone; hCG activates the p450 side chain cleavage (p450scc) enzyme which converts cholesterol to Pregnenelone!!! (Read the link above, please.) 2. To produce the precursors for DHEA, Estrogen, Cortisol, Testosterone and DHT…back filling the pathways (See #1 above) 3. For proper and normal brain function 4. For proper functioning of the testicles 5. If men ever want to restart 6. If men ever want to have children 7. If men don’t want balls that end up in a small mass of useless Collagen 8. The list goes on…

Thanks. I’ll ask my doc to add it when I go in next week.

[–]bigkids0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy

Can you link the thread please?

[–]BlueMyLoad69[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

I should have said the Testosterone Sub, not thread. Sorry.

[–]SteveSan820 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy

Did you even change your diet and sleep more first? TRT is a last resort

[–]BlueMyLoad69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Yes. I got three tests over 6 or so months and after trying to optimize I got my lowest numbers. My Urologist specializes in Low T and he does not think I can improve my numbers naturally. He tried me on Clomid for a month as a “conservative” approach but I did not do well on that.

[–]RPWolfAlpha_as_Wolf_2.00 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Test injections aren't a magic bullet. You still have to do all the work. I can say for me the best thing has been the muscle gain and muscle retention while cutting. I do 48 hour fasts to cut and experience no muscle loss.

[–]WolfofAllStreetz0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Side effects? I dunno, you want to fuck ALL the time. If you’re wife has a low drive or you can’t fix it you’re fucked. Bit of a pun there but you know what I mean.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
