These days, masculinity has come under fire for being "toxic" and "destructive". However, our masculine desires haven't changed much over the last few thousands of years; only society's view of them has changed. Now, being a boy and engaging in masculine behaviors is deemed a pathology, divisive, and aggressive.
However, these same "male behaviors" are what have driven human progress, up until now. It's only when you give men a false choice that they become destructive ("I told Billy to be either be quiet or ask about Jimmy's feelings about playing ball. He did neither! That kid must have ADD!").
But when you give them alternatives and avenues to express their masculinity (ambition, desires to organize/compete/dominate/build/explore), they at worst stay out of trouble and gangs and at best create civilizations and businesses, even if the creation process is necessarily messy.
So what about female ambition?
If you examine closely, you'll find that female ambition is entirely contingent upon male ambition. When males create, females procreate. If you build it, they will come. Etc.
Whenever males build something of value, then and only then (and at no point prior) will women display ambition towards that same subject. This is a result of female hypergamy: the desire to trade up and constantly acquire something better.
You can see this with recent female attention directed towards the tech world, gaming, and even the existence of professional female sports. These only exist because women saw how amazing rich and successful male pioneers in this field were, and they demanded a piece of it too.
In fact, the moment any exclusively male space becomes successful, you can bet then and only then females will start coming in and crying that they need to participate too. Any time before that, they won't because that space hasn't been successful yet, thus it's still "creepy" or "nerdy".
To test for this, you can use The Garbage Man Test. Basically, ask yourself "would a woman claim the same dedication towards this activity/man if the activity/man had the same status as a garbage man?". You can bet what the answer will be every time. You can use this to filter out bullshit when women claim "No, I like EDM festivals/DJs just for me! For who I am!"
You may also ask, "well, what's the difference between female hypergamy and male ambition? They both just want better life status!". That is true. However, the key difference is that male ambition is not directly contingent upon the existence/actions of another (e.g. ambition can be executed independently), whereas hypergamy is an indirect form of success through association only.
Just take a list of how the top 50 richest men made their money versus the top 50 women. You'll find one group conveniently spread their legs for the other.
