They also think the gravy train will go on forever and they will always be valued like they are in their early 20s, when they are young and tight and hot and fertile. By 35, it's time to get down to the ASPCA and adopt some cats.

Life is fucking difficult. It's better to have a teammate. As the medical technology and life expectancy increases people tend to think they can out off starting a family until later in life. A lot of the girls that say never kids in their teens/early twenties will probably change their minds later down the road, and they can do that now because infant mortality and other things allow for it.
