More traditional cultures. They had less of this culture change that started in the 70' with the boomer revolution.

Also the currency rate of change make you richer than them and this is highly attractive for women. I don't think they are more gold digger than western women, there is just more wealth difference.

I'm going to speak about Russia, as I'm from Russia, so it might be different in other Eastern European countries.

First of all, gender roles have never been lost their importance. Our variant of them at least. We've never had an equivalent of the US 50s culture, so these roles are a bit different. Men are providers and women take care of children, home and work too. Getting married and keeping a guy in this marriage are two most important tasks in each woman's life.

This attitude is mainly the result of a drastic shortage of marriageable men after the WWII and the fact that during those times it was still quite hard for a woman to provide for herself without a man especially in a countryside. It led to men being far more valuable than women and it taught women to tolerate any guy who was willing to marry her whether he was an alcoholic, abuser or chronically unemployed.

It's slowly getting better. Most people's expectations still come from traditional roles though. Women try to be feminine to attract a guy and being docile and submissive is seen as feminine. They also expect a guy to be stereotypically masculine and it includes paying for dates as well.

Secondly, there are a lot of women who want to immigrate just by marrying up. Foreigners are romanticized and it's believed that Western men treat their partners better than men in Russia. Plus, if a woman considered marriage as a way to find a provider from the beginning, selling herself as high as she could makes sense. She just has to find a guy willing to marry her and she gets to immigrate to a western country, a guy probably with good income and who would treat her better than Russian Vanyas. I might be wrong but I think that in 90s it was a whole business of looking for foreign suitors for interested Russian women.

You also should know that as time goes by women's attitude towards Russian men doesn't get better. Quite the opposite. Women change faster, there are far more self-sufficient women among younger generations than there used to be in times of their mothers and grandmothers, but a lot of men still expect to get the same treatment that their fathers are used to. They want the benefits of two working partners without taking their load of domestic chores. As a result a lot of women do think quite low about men in Russia and there are women who are self-sufficient and prefer to date foreigners because they don't fine Russian men attractive not because they're gold diggers.

I grew up in Eastern Europe, moved to Australia and now make decent money. In their eyes I’m rich as fuck. Whenever I go back to my home town I need to actively remind myself to keep my ego in check because the men throw themselves at me, take me on the greatest dates of my life and basically lovebomb the fuck outta me and hint at marriage. They see me as a walking green card.

The girls are either rude to me or overly fake in an attempt for me to shout them drinks/cigarettes/drugs at parties.

It’s MONEY and living in the west. Everyone wants it and even if they can’t get it, they wanna be with someone who does have it because their entire lives are built of striving to get it.

The Soviet Union always emphasized allegiance to Party over Family. It literally rewarded people for turning in their family and neighbors for having anti soviet sediment. Soviet women fought in the battle of Stalingrad while American women need a massive campaign commonly known as “we can do it!” aka Rosie the Riveter, just to get off their asses and get a job.

Russian women haven’t known what “traditional” meant since Peter the Great was in charge. Don’t project western concepts of traditional v modern on these other cultures. From Russia to Japan, traditional can change quite a bit from what North Americans perceive as traditional.

So, are Eastern Europeans “easy”... yes and no. Are they more likely not to cheat? Fuck no. A better way to say it is that they don’t put their pussy on a pedestal. Odds are, if you are a millennial man in touch with sharing your feelings and un afraid to cry, she probably won’t fuck you unless she is a lesbian.
