Every time I make some progress and start to move on with my life after a horrible breakup early last year, I hear something that triggers me just a bit. I was beta in the relationship. Yes. But I’m a humble guy, I come from not much, and I have to work hard for everything I’ve done and what I have to pay for. Just graduated college this year.

After the breakup my ex started hoeing around openly. Made that her reputation which disgusted me because some of the guys she let use her are just trash men. But then she started dating this guy who is blessed with great looks and has rich parents. My ex meanwhile comes from a broken home and family and shitty parents. She’s in community college off and on but falls most of her classes.

Well, I heard a coworker who knows my ex saying that her new boyfriend’s parents are buying him a house near the beach near the college he’s at right now, and gonna “be” for him and my ex to stay in. So not only is she a trashy hoe and doesn’t do anything for herself, but now she’s a gold digger. I’ve met the boyfriend. He’s been spoon fed by a rich family. He doesn’t know struggle. He’s 20 and his parents are literally buying him his own house to live in for at least his final 2 years of college. And my ex is latching on because he is giving her everything without her having to do ANYTHING.

I know I can’t let things like this ruin me but I’m sorry, they just do trigger me. Because I have to work really hard on my own for what I accomplish and my ex couldn’t recognize that/didn’t care. I guess she is the cookie cutter definition of a hypergamous female.
