There are plenty of geeks out there earning solid salaries and I doubt these women will have anything to do with them. The dating market is what it is. Unless you're a very high value woman you're going to have to make compromises. If you want a guy in the top 5% on income/wealth then you might have to deal with the fact that he's top 70% on looks/personality/whatever else. The millionaire underwear models are either married well before 38 or they're dating much younger girls.

Also, and I say this every time we get one of these articles, but no man gives a shit about what any of these women do for a living. It's such a minor factor. Not surprised. Men have married down financially for the entire history of man. It's always been a matter of other things. Most recently its been a matter of 'do I like her?'. That's it. Attractiveness plays a role in that, but its about whether or not he can see them being happy for their whole life. You don't marry the sexiest one, you marry someone you enjoy.

Women don't like to marry down, particularly financially. I remember my friend struggling when he got pussy-whipped. He was a struggling actor (Admittedly, doomed to fail) and his girlfriend came from a rich family and was in law school.
