Context: Natural purplepill who turned increasingly blue the past two years, finding my way back to red starting this summer. With all of the different personalities that I have had, from outgoing to quiet, I am confused on the right mindset to hold.

Intro: Having a stoic mindset isn't always the right frame to be in. A method of increasing value is to have a high-value social circle. By being immovable, rapport is much more difficult to create, and sometimes it can even seem rude. Although other's opinions may seem unimportant, manners are extremely powerful in all aspects of life, especially in the business world. Being too submissive can lead you on the lesser end of the deal, while being too aggressive can remove you from the deal outright. Connections are also invaluable, but you can be either be feared too much or taken advantage of completely.

Question: So where is the balance? How does one become lively, sociable, and create excitement without losing frame/looking like a beta?

When you have a positive energy around you, people are much more receptive and eager to speak with you. This is applicable to social events, (sports) games, and many other things, and works for both genders. However, it can make you look foolish as well.

In a work environment, being friendly/positive (which is essentially submissiveness in a way) is also a requirement. It is often difficult to hold a smile and be friendly without seeming BP. How does one go about?

Edit: Excellent information given by all but one user. TRP is a great subreddit.
