The last few months both my friends and family had been very crass, exclusionary. dismissive, and sometimes right out disrespectful towards me.

I got really fed up and just cut out everyone from my life, basically straight up ghosted everyone I know. When I mean everyone I truly mean everyone, the guy at the drive through today was probably the first person who I've spoken to in almost a month. Before I did this I was feeling very lonely and had a shit ton of fomo. I figured doing this would make me feel even worse but I told myself that if I was going to feel like garbage all the time it might as well be by my own doing and not other people.

Surprisingly this has had the complete inverse effect. I dont know if I'd say that I'm "happy" but I do feel better, kind of neutral. The fomo is gone, and so is the cripplingly painful loneliness that would haunt me at night when I was trying to sleep. I know this isolated probably isn't healthy and is definitely killing my chances of getting laid or forming a new social circle but at this point in time I dont think that really matters.

I also have trouble believing that every person that I know including my family are just shit trash people that have have been dragging me down all the time. The whole "I'm fucking awesome and every one else sucks" thing doesn't seem realistic and I also feels like I'm shifting the blame away from myself to everyone else.

Have any of y'all run into this sort of situation before, and if so how did you move forward?
