All evidence suggests that the happiest and most emotionally-capable children come from homes with married parents.

If you want to raise children, like I do, marriage is your optimal arrangement.

You need to be incredibly, incredibly strict with your standards and need to screen specifically for a woman capable of being a good wife and mother.

As close to a unicorn as you can find.

But recognize that getting married is a big risk. TRP tells you not to get married because the odds are against you. But plenty of TRP'ers are married and would say they are happily so.

Understand that getting married means making a calculated decision to accept risk for a tangible benefit.

I'm willing to risk divorce for the purposes of raising a family. I'll minimize the damage that can be done by using a prenup and screening for the best possible wife/mother I can find, but I do so knowing full well that I have a 50/50 chance at best of it playing out the way I want it to.

Make sure you're squared away in your career and your inner game. Make sure you can run dread game like a professional.

You can always try the traditional Catholic way. Meet a devout girl and get married young. Don't use contraception. Have 8 or 9 kids.

The redpill is a reaction to modern feminism. If your wife has 9 kids, it doesn't apply. You go to Catholic authors for advice on the family in such situations, as the church has been doing this for a long time.

There is no chad thundercock hitting on a woman with 9 kids. A women with so many kids lives a life of non-stop self-sacrifice. Plus, you get to start a clan and enjoy being at its head. This is the traditional way. It's good to go to traditional Catholic (i.e. Latin mass) churches so that you meet other families with similar arrangements. I swear, a simple kid's party becomes a 50 people affair (and that's only 5 or 6 families).

Just make sure that you have a decent job! Because your wife will want to stay at home, which is a good thing, because kids should grow up with their mother. It's nice for them.

I have two rules: the woman has low partner count. All the happy marriages I know are where the women had very few partners (in some cases, just 1) before getting married.

Rule #2: Her mom. Is she career oriented? Family oriented? Has she supported her husband through his career? Has she sacrificed her career or something else for the good of the family?

If the woman meets criteria #1, she likely values her mom's approval a lot. How her mom behaves is how she will likely behave in 20 years time.

And look, while you're screening for her capability to be a good wife, you also need to screen for her ability to be a mother. Honesty, thats even more important - youre a grown ass man and if shit comes crunbling down, you'll takw care of yourself. But kids need a good mother, and a terrible one will leave a lasting impression.

So think from the kids perspective too.

And lastly, think of the genetics. You dont want your kids to be dumbasses. Find a woman who is smart and has something to offer besides her body

I think the sad fact is that going mgtow means giving up on the idea of ever having a family. Men cannot have a child without a woman, but when they do its not "my child" or "our child", its "her child".

Simply put I do not trust the legal system. Pre-nup? Yeah you could get one, but what's to stop a gynocentric court simply throwing it out?

Same with surrogacy. You could get the most iron clad contract in the world that says she is just the oven, once little Bobbie or Jenny is here her role is finished and that's your child. Again if she changes her mind and sues for custody, what's to stop an activist court just voiding your contract and awarding her custody and child support?

With a judicial system so heavily skewed in favour of women, you simply no sure fire way of protecting yourself.

I have given this question some thought. More seasoned veterans can weigh in.

Getting married should be politically advantages to be worth it.

Typically I will sit down at a business meeting with investors/large clients and 80%+ are married. It is socially acceptable to be unmarried in your 20's, but when you start getting in your 30's, it limits your potential growth and relation to people.

This advice is practical if you plan to have your life in the spotlight and have to keep a facade/mask going.

If your goals don't involve acquiring anything where your public image is paramount. Don't get married period.

You can

a) Involve a surrogate mother and raise the child alone

b) Discuss having children with your girlfriend, but letting her know you don't want to get married.

c) Get married and have children

I prefer option b: The worse that can happen is that you pay child support and lose sole custody of your child/children unless you have a legal agreement upon separation of the relationship. Have your lawyer and her lawyer verify the document and agree to it. Not too clear on option a, would have to do some research into that. Finally option c is the worse option because you take on the most risk for little to no reward. Why get married when you get all the desirable benefits in a non-marital, committed relationship?

I'm sure other, more seasoned members can give you some more insight, but I will probably go with option b when I am ready for a family (age 23).

I've been in an LTR for about 7 or 8 years and plan to do the whole marriage and kids shortly. Luckily we met in our teens. Normally this would be the worse time to meet since statistically people at that age don't stay together.

The most important part of LTRing is ensuring your future wife does not expect to a free ride, and has her own ambition. In that same token she needs to be able to sacrifice that for the sake of the family, you as well. I'll be taking the proposing plunge within the next two years. Sorry I could only really detail the screening process, but it's what worked for me. Best bet is to have a girl with no prior partners (good luck with that) and cohabitate without marriage license or at least in a state with favorable alimony laws where there is no lifetime alimony or it's waived in case of adultery.

You don't want her to be a SAHM. First of all she becomes a leach on your money, second she gets bored and lazy, third she gets desperate for variety and some conflict. She can stay home and work part time in the evenings or work 2-3 days out of the week and pay for those days for daycare but absolutely no full time SAHM or housewife. That's recipe for disaster IMO.

Finally never stop leading (be the captain to your ship) lifting, improving and keep your friendships alive. Be interesting. Recognize and pass shit tests. Recognize and pass comfort tests (usually require beta responses for LTR maintenance.)

First off, learn to quality test your potential LTR/wife prospect. Redpill has tons of examples of red flags to look for and for the love of god DON"T DISMISS ANY OF THESE RED FLAGS!

2nd. know that no matter what, you gain zero advantage in marriage other than a status change. you have more disadvantage in marriage but when it comes to raising a kid and family, marriage is a status essential. 3rd: Set yourself up where you are okay with supporting a woman and a child solely on your income only. A career woman or a woman who wishes to work while sending her child to daycare is a def red flag that her priorities are not in the family category. You may need to fish for a mate from someone who makes significantly less than you. A waitress, cashier, or any other low wage service industry. She doesn't have high career goals and a family life goal will be better suited.

4th. Keep in mind you want the marriage, she wants the ceremony. Her desire is to show off to her friends, family, and have an extravagant 1 day event. Don't go broke over this. it's not worth it, but keep it mind.

5th: don't rely on your prenup because a judge can throw it out.

6th: Have kids. pretty easy. Don't enjoy a honeymoon. Get cranking on that family. I'm not going to have one but if I were, then I'd go with a surrogate mother and do everything possible to ensure that she can't take rights over the child. Unlike single mother statistics which show lives getting ruined, single fathers actually do alright. My analytical brain re-reads your post "how does one go about becoming a father that has an active role in raising their children?" and the answer to that is that you could adopt, or you could use a surrogate mother of some sort. Of course if you are financially viable I am sure in the present feminist climate, the surrogate mother could come back and demand shared custody with some financial compensation for herself too.

At the end of the day, it's no longer manly an emotional decision, but mainly a financial decision. If you want to become a father, you will need to provide for the children and most probably for the mother too; and you're not assured of sole custody, and you're not assure that you and the mother would play as one team in raising the children.

Staying away from the spoiled career less middle class daddies little princess at your age is going to be your primary concern. You know the chicks who work in the mall, but drive around in a leased car they cannot afford the insurance on let alone the actual payments. The way i see it is be the RP husband/father YOU would want to have. RP to me isn't about spinning plates, its about being a man.

When you are commited to a marrige, your duty to take care of YOURSELF only intensifies. Yes, you have to provide and protect. These are only the relationship killers spoken of here when that is your only role. But if you can be a provider while still maintaining your RP alpha attributes, everyone is happy.

You should build wealth and financial diversity between now and then, and diversify, internationalize, disguise, and hide those assets. Physical cash, gold, and silver stashed in secret locations.
