Never walk on eggshells. If that happens to me, I start looking for a new job. The one time I had job security, my boss made a point of making my life hell, just so I would leave. If someone truly wants to get rid of you, they'll find a way.

Go for the trades. At least where I live, a good mechanic or carpenter is always sought after. Its easy to be self employed, and if you prefer being an employee there is minimal chance of having bitches in your team. You wont see many women at a construction site (only those working for OSHA or suck the architects dick)

No job is secure. So many variables, so many reasons for things to go wrong. What's changed are the available options, as in, there are none.

You used to be able to walk in to jobs; "Got any work".."Sure, got working hands? See you tomorrow morning".

Now you need specialist degrees. Now you need to apply online so they can filter out, even for retail shite. Now the cost of living is so fucking high compared to salaries that you're fucking boned without a safety net because it can take ages to pick up another role.

Corporations have been used by the ruling class to systematically pillage wealth and erode the power of the workers. The game is fucking rigged.

Nope, job security is a thing of the past with female led hr. I'm working part times and will be starting welding school next month hopefully by 2020 I'm making decent money. And never let one job be your only source of income, find side work maybe start a YouTube channel. I'm considering starting one based on the paranormal in a few years

Labor is a market like any other; job security requires a niche. Find a city where your skillset is uncommon but essential OR build a skillset that your market needs but is still unmet.
Get shit done. If you're stuck on something ask for help. If you run out of work to do ask for more, or better yet propose your own tasks once you understand the job. Good managers will love you for this and make sure to keep you around.
If management is shitty, leave. #1 should make sure you have options available. #2 will help you get recommendations for your new job.

If you're looking for a field to go into any tech role in a non-tech company will more or less keep you comfortable. Mistakes are non life-or-death and mostly reversible, plus tech departments at most non-tech places aren't exceedingly woke.

Yes. I own my own business and work for myself. I highly suggest the same. I am 44 and work about 20 hours a week on average. The rest of the time I spend bettering myself and raising my children.

I work in aerospace industry. Least job security there is if the current or future president decide to favor funding welfare and poor (you know the one that takes advantage of the system) rather than space exploration.

We dont have much females in my company and i work since 2002 at it.

Its pretty secure, its hard to find people who want to work in three shift and on weekends

There is no job security, there is career security.

I was just on the job market and had three offers after three days. I can quit my job over anything I want and be 100% confident I can replace it whenever I want.

But no, individual job security is a myth.

Get better skills and diversify your source of income! There is no job security. Build a business if you can and try to get jobs in unique skill areas from multiple providers that offer the most $ for the least stress, to give you the mental space to juggle multiple things. Of course, if you are very very skilled, the skill is a form of security. Another great source of security is saving money! The more money you have in the bank, the less worried you will be if something were to go awry. So look at every $ you spend as a sense of vulnerability and weakness, and every $ you spend as that last dollar that you may need down the road.
