Not long term, anyway. On the plus side, they are often only "feminist" in the loud an proud way--outside the bedroom, but kittens inside it. I used to date a feminist college professor like that. I was, of course, forbidden to express my Neanderthal opinions at faculty functions (and really, why mess with someone at their work?), but I also would walk around those mixer things with her panties in my pocket, as a gentle reminder of what was Boss.

That said, on the whole, dating feminists isn't going to end well, generally speaking.

Read for about half an hour, this is wonderful. I'll summarize the extent of the blog. She's a 31 year old whose friend bets her $500 bucks that she will find the man of her dreams in 20 dates or he has to pay her. He is her hetero male buddy who is a commitment-phobe (read: in love with her and refusing to get anyone else) and tries to make her happy by telling her she can get what she wants!

She gleefully informs us that she has a "hate-lust" thing for assholes and that an "agro-rocker" dude gave her tingles but she knew he was a loser and decided she could do better. She hamsters that online dating was only giving her losers so she is only doing to do in real life dating and, surprise surprise, there are no eligible bachelors that are good enough for her and meet her criteria.

She's only finding betas, and shitty ones at that. Tech guys who she won't talk to because they bore her (one even had a work crisis and was 40 minutes late!), a cute guy who she met at a Mariners game who was only 5'6" and therefore not good enough for her, and a creepy 40 year old guy who exudes death from his pores. This doesn't include the 25 year old who balked when she said she was 31 and the MBA student who she drunkenly threw herself at who ignored her desperate texts for attention.

Best date was with a tech guy, they went to Staple & Fancy (a really great place but way too expensive for a single girl with a busy work job, really good food if you haven't been). She was worried that it was expensive but said she's good at spending other people's money. She ate beforehand because she knew she wouldn't be able to afford more than an appetizer herself, but he suggested the place so she assumed he'd be paying. He then suggested they do the 5 course meal (again, awesome) and she decided to eat it all because fuck it, she's not paying. Then she acts all surprised after he looks like someone fucked his dog when he got the whole bill. But ugh, he's a tech guy so she won't date him again.

She liked one guy but he was way too much of a pussy to make a move on her. Men of Seattle, THIS is your competition.

Oh man, as others have mentioned girls like this ultimately set themselves up for failure. I don’t necessarily disagree with their nature, I think a lot of these girls just grow up a bit entitled and believe they are at a disadvantage throughout life so they ‘require’ high standards because they believe they’re a special snowflake and they deserve someone great. But holy shit the amount of delusion, solipsism, and narcissism is unreal.

I dated a girl for a brief bit who had a list like this. When she would go out on dates she would checkmark things on the list, and then if you did things which went against the list she’d write an X. It was an absolutely rollercoaster because she couldn’t stay straight on anything and ultimately no man ever held up to her list.

Five years later I get a text message out of the blue to which she apologized for her behavior. I wonder how many guys got that text message. Even better, I wonder how many responded. LOL
