This is rag perverse and the advice is borderline criminal. This Deidre is basically advising the readers of her rag, to GASLIGHT the boyfriend in such a scenario. That's how deep the media have sunk.

There is absolutely no good reason based on this story to suggest the guy in the story needs treatment at this care center.

It's not just that the anonymous woman frames the guy in her story in an unfavorable way. The deception is so thin, it should be obvious to any halfway expert.

The boyfriend in this story is labeled "insecure" to gloss over the fact that he did suspect the existing affair with GOOD reason. She even admits he found the incriminating texts and there may have been more telltale signs of the affair that she cannot even figure out herself. It shouldn't surprise anyone that this would change his behavior toward her.

That he probably won't trust this woman after her cheating, is not something that should be corrected through psychological treatment; he really should not trust this outed cheater for good reason.
