The main issue with thinking as the "text-book definition" of an incel is that they are still looking for female validation, they just can't get it. This makes a huge difference between MGTOW and Incels, at least it should. Female validation is what causes the destruction of freedom for men.

There’s very little reality about an incel other than a specific medical scenarios, and even those with crippling medical problems have wheeled their chair to a brothel or hired an escort to “handle” sexual things.

Incel assumes that someone should not be celibate. As if that’s a presumed position to be in, which is gleefully fucking super models on a whim.

There are “incels” only in the sense that it has nothing to do with sex but to do with some hottie unicorn giving a shit about them and being all in love. And to be honest, adult individuals know they doesn’t exist and act accordingly.

So I have sympathy for an incel, provided it’s being meant as “Gee I’d love a fantasy Disney unicorn to love me” and end it like that. I get that.

When an Incel^tm comes here with bullshit they should be called out for what they are.

I think using the term “incel” negatively hurts the MGTOW group. Feminism has been fractured from subgroups within the framework that can’t support each other even on the most basic level. We’re better than that. We may not be incel but we are all men. We don’t need to recognize “incel” as a group but we do need to not speak negatively of any exclusively men’s group. Basic support of all men is something women don’t have within feminism-not by a long shot.

It's hard to believe that "incels" exist in any significant numbers and if they do it's largely a result of "women are wonderful" romcom propaganda; i.e. sex is not enough, they need a magic unicorn to like them too.

I think that incels are hyper-BP and would wholeheartedly jump at the chance to be with a woman and do her bidding without thinking about it. That is a HUGE difference from being MGTOW, so I don't see them as a subset of MGTOW.

I agree though, that EVERY guy, should live a MGTOW lifestyle, I just see incels as desperately wanting attention from women, so much so, that they really don't want to bother themselves with the truth of the MGTOW lifestyle.

You can't go your own way from nothing.

MGTOW are almost always men who have been in the trenches and see that the game is rigged and have chosen to walk away. We also have a good number of very young men who are not Incells but lack the experiences of grown men who are choosing MGTOW early. I liken them to young monks who may or may not go purple one day. They see the value in the philosophy, principals and practices of MGTOW and follow them closely and often quietly.

Incells, man they are the often the bottom 10 to 20 % of males. The dudes who no matter how hard they try how many times they put themselves out there they will never get the validation from a female that they so desperately seek. So with that said those are two primary reason for them NOT being MGTOW.

I think it's good for them mingle with MGTOW, learn from us, share with us and move away from the anger and hate and find some peace for themselves. But as a text book incell they will never have the experiences that lead most of us to MGTOW, they have no point of reference, no attention from females to reject. They still crave the sex that they've never had, dating and all the shit blue pillers cucks and betas blindly walk into.

I agree that too much shaming has gone on in the MSM. I also agree that many seem to come across like modern day Nazi's. I don't think we should absorb them, they have their own things going on. But I think we should be accepting of those who wonder our way and want to mingle and maybe try a different approach to their situation.

The least of my brothers is still my brother. But I can't condone the violence and deep hate that some of them perpetuate within their community and direct towards females across the board.

We are all imperfect men. I believe that incels are more imperfect than most. Whether it be physical, emotional, social, all of the above, or otherwise they are flawed. No big deal, we all are. What makes them incel is the way that society perceives, treats, and value them. How society reacts to them dictates how they respond, and that response is generally as negative as the treatment. Society is a popularity contest. The more people thatt like you the higher your status. Society is all too happy to keep us on that hampster wheel, because the system falls apart if no one gives a shit. Society breeds the belief we need to be liked and popular. To add to that there is the sexual component, and the pressure to be successful in "love." Society also dictates that love and sex are of the highest priority. The grail, the fleece that men should always strive to attain. All men to a degree or at least for a time subscribe to this idea. Society rejects these men, and women being the social creatures they are so to reject them. They become embittered, and despondent. Is there any other way to be under that thinking, when people don't like you, and women don't or won't even try to love you? A man more flawed than others has 2 avenues, those that realize it is all garbage, and go about their lives living it for themselves in spite of society and their own flaws; and those who sink into their bitterness and anger that society has judged them lacking and cast them aside. The former I see as a reformed incel, the latter an incel. They are angry at a society that sold them an idea which was completely false, then rejected them no matter how hard they tried to conform to the standards.

These are not bad guys, or at least the weren't. They are the end product of a society that breeds men on the lies that there is someone for everyone, that hard work pays off, honesty is a virtue, etc. Etc. They are the product of children raised on participation trophies, and told that their failures were valiant, when they should have been taught that their failures were failures, and they should learn from them and do better next time. Without those lessons, the did not/do not have the character to accept the loss, move on, and grow. They stay mired in bitterness over not getting the consolation prize they were promised.

Incels desperately want a relationship with women. MGTOWs do not. Some people accuse MGTOWs of really being Incels but use MGTOW as a cover for their inability to get women. I'm sure that there are few examples of this, but the realty is that for most of us, there are huge differences between the two.

There are very few genuine incels. Most men could find a fatty to have sex with or cough up the money for a hooker. So almost anyone could get laid. If you could, but it's not worth it to you, you're a volcel.

Incels want sexual relationships and can't get them, but a lot of them have also given up on trying. They are quick to point out a lot of the same observations as MGTOWs. There's probably some overlap here and there.

I don't think MGTOWs should react either positively or negatively.

I'll have to disagree here. MGTOW is when we voluntarily choose to be unmarried/single. Incel is when they are INvoluntarily CELibate. Some MGTOWs aren't celibate at all (but some are on "monk mode"). I know of one member here who cuts his relationships off around 3 months. A family friend of mine has been married twice, and now he won't even talk to women if he can avoid it. He even goes out of his way to not be alone with a woman under any circumstance. I still have a dating life, but I'm very upfront that marriage and children will never be an option. We would all probably agree that MGTOW is generally about limiting the influence of women in our lives, but each of us has different ways of doing it.

I'll open it up and and ask you guys a simple question, do you think we should just drop the term incel? And, where do people like those stand in MGTOW.

Yeah, I get that people use incel as an insult, but we can't really do anything about it. I would only ever use it to describe someone who is actually an incel (a member of the sub who identifies as an incel). MGTOW and incel are two different groups. Incels are people who want to be with women but can't because of any number of reasons; it's not their choice. MGTOWs have a choice.

Every post I've seen where a man comes through talking about his need for female validation has been met with a single unified response: you don't need her. You're good enough on your own.

More often than not, inceldom is a way of self-identifying. So is considering oneself to be a MGTOW. Therefore, neither is technically a slur.

While the two do not mean the same thing, they do share a lot of views and surely are both a part of the manosphere. So incels and MGTOWs are "bretheren" within the same, broader, space.

Some similarities in thought:

both consider women to be amoral, illogical humanoids
both consider men to be intrinsically superior in terms of human value (although incels simultaneously see themselves as subhuman)
both think society is unfair towards men and biased towards women.

Some differences:

incels want love from women (while believing women aren't capable of feeling it) and MGTOWs don not
MGTOWs consider themselves to be alphas, while incels hate alpha-Chads and view themselves as subhuman scum.

All in all, not that many differences. From what I see, it's mostly about how one sees oneself and one's potential and position in this world; are you an alpha or are you an omega.
