Just gotta say, historically children would be in the same room with their parents while the parents had sex, because they lived in a one room cottage. Sex was only relatively recent in history to be a godforsaken taboo subject that would be terrible terrible terrible for children to witness.

In reality, most kids don't really care except that adults making it taboo and forbidden. It's only traumatic when the adults make it that way.
