As I understand it, a woman's sexual value can be largely determined just by looking at her. Men don't need to test women to know their value, since most of a woman's sexual value is displayed by her body.

Alternatively, a man's value is spread around in a bunch of baskets. Social ability, social status, intelligence, and looks (among others). A woman can get a partial idea of a man's value just by looking at him, but to really nail down his value, she needs to see how he can perform socially.

Hence, the shit test. Women instinctively give men shit as a type of probe, looking for weakness or strength. After seeing how a man reacts to a shit test, she can better judge his sexual value. This makes sense to me and is quite clear. In theory, you could probably guess that human females would do this just by understanding human biology.

On the other hand...I've seen feminism called a shit test. I've seen mate guarding a la "please don't go the gym" called a shit test. But in what sense are these shit tests? Is she...trying to test your social skills? Is she trying to determine your value in some way?

Maybe I'm just missing something, but it seems to me that this is a different kind of shit test if it's a shit test at all.

Think of a woman's hopes when she shit tests a man she just met. Trying to put him in his place, but at the same time hoping he turns out to be an actually interesting man who can handle it.

I don't see that dynamic in feminism or mate guarding. Is she secretly hoping you'll say no and go to the gym anyway? Is she secretly hoping you'll say that feminism is bull?
