Here's the real question, I assume you're currently enjoying your marriage, hence why you would feel the need to tell how long you've been married, but why post this to /r/MGTOW? From previous comments it doesn't seem as if you would have any need to visit this site, or even know of its existence, so why are you posting here and what inquired you to come to this board? Not been rude, but im generally intrigued, if I were a person who cared for being in relationships, especially marriage) I would've never came here...

Many of us, including me have been in LTR's, we don't deny that at the start and for anywhere between a few months to a few years, things can be good. Lots of sex, lots of fun times, but here's the thing; you haven't experienced her bad side yet. It should be us doing the AMA and you asking the questions about what happens when it goes down hill. It's when you love her with all your heart and she turns around and coldly takes a huge shit all over it. It's when you come home one night after a hard day at work and find she won't kiss you when you walk in the door and that during the day, your unemployed next door neighbour has been balls deep in her half the day. You have no dinner cos she can't be fucked after getting railed all afternoon. It's when she decides to use the court to rip out your wallet through your genitals, deny you visitation on your kids but you still need to pony up half your pay cheque. You lose your house and most of your money to a rigged court system designed to fuck men over. You have more than a 50% chance of divorce and the above is what has happened to many here and still could be in your future. Here's the thing, if someone handed you a gun with 5 chambers loaded and one that was not, that promised you a happy life with a wife, would you put it to your head and pull the trigger hoping that you got the right one, or would you decide that the risk vs reward is too high to pull the trigger?

How old are you?
What is your salary?
What is your wife's salary?
How much total money do you have reserved for Retirement compared to what you are supposed have?

At age 30, you should have have the combined salary invested for retirement as a minimum.

At age 35, you should have double the combined salary invested for retirement as a minimum.

Just asking because most people fall way behind in retirement savings as a result of getting married and having a family. This results in these people having to work at the front door of walmart greeting people as they walk in long after retirement age. Retiring much later in life (80s). Overall living a poorer quality of life than what you could have been if you had properly put your money towards investments earlier in your life than squandering it on temporary things, like marriage.

Invest properly in retirement and it will have plenty of time to grow. Failure to do so will have catastrophic consequences later in life and condemn you to a life of running on a hamster wheel to earn a buck. Or even worse, being forced to work when you aren't physically capable of doing it any more.

For reference, I'm 34 and have been MGTOW for the last ~4 years. I now have $250,000 set aside for retirement. My salary is $85,000. The amount of money I put into retirement (pretax) is about $60k per year. So I'm at nearly 3x salary when I only need to be 2x salary to meet the minimum for age 35. I attribute this almost entirely to being MGTOW.

Most retirement calculators have me down as retiring 5 years to 10 years early, as a muli-millionaire because I know I can keep investing $60k a year (pretax) on an $85k a year (pretax) salary for the long term with no major expenses (college for children, etc.) anywhere on the horizon. Sounds damn good to me.

At 11 years my wife kicked me out and moved in a boyfriend. She alleged that I had been beating her and our daughter for years( of course I never did)She got a restraining order against me and even tried to get me arrested. Lucky for me a few things happened in my favor and I at least have visitation every other weekend with my girl. I avoided jail and have a place to stay. Not everyone is so lucky. The battle goes on and I’m starting over.

What is this a Disney movie? Women do nothing but hold you back and these days it's so far from worth it I can't even imagine anymore. Sure I've got friends who are married and you know what? They dream of the day they have free time to do whatevr they want like I do and they tell me this all the time. I pity them and I pity not living for yourself and being trapped on the plantation till the simulation ends.
