Hello everyone

I only stumbled upon MGTOW a few weeks ago (things take a while to get to Switzerland). Although I did some research, I don't know a lot about the lifestyle and the people who are a part of it. I want to avoid being biased and prejudiced about the topic as best as I can, so I decided to come to this subreddit with an open mind and some questions. Some of these questions might seem inappropriate or offensive to some due to my ignorance, but in all honesty, I'm just curious.

Not sure if this kind of post is even allowed, but I'll give it a shot.

As I understand it, MGTOW pretty much speaks for itself. You've rid yourself (if I can put it like that) of women that have oppressed you over your life. Some websites I've visited are quite aggressive, basically depicting women as pure evil and unworthy scum. Now, that's something that makes me wonder. (I'm aware that not everyone can be thrown in the same pot).

But:

  1. Do most of you feel resentment against women in general? Or is that more aimed towards females you've known personally? Do you even feel any of that, or is it just kinda like "meh, whatever"? Again, I'm completely serious and just totally oblivious to what's going on.

  2. In what ways has your life improved/changed ever since you heard about MGTOW? What was your life like before?

  3. Was it a conscious choice that you made, or was it more of a realization you had one day? (eg fuck this shit, I'm buying a boat/putting up an indoor pool so I can play Fifa, drink beer, and chill...) and then felt this was what you needed all along? Was it even something you chose, or do you feel like it was the only option you had?

  4. How old are you?

  5. Do you avoid all interaction?

  6. Do you talk about MGTOW openly?

  7. What lead you to live your life that way?

  8. How do people react to it vs how do you wish they reacted?

That's all for the moment. Thank you!

Edit: Before this gets out of hand and users start to feel betrayed, I am a female. I just assumed it would be more obvious from the questions/ and username. But I did not state that clearly, so that's on me. Am I even allowed here?

Edit 2: Fact #1 it's not a movement, it's a lifestyle. Which to me makes a lot more sense.
