Lol I remember when I was 15 my father told me once I’m 18 my mother’s gonna start using me for money the same way she did to him. I thought he was just being a bitter heated asshole (pretty hot headed ex military) but he was right lmao.

There’s literally no point in arguing with women because they don’t know how to logically and rationally argue for the most part. It’s better to just lead them and tell them to shut up. Tell your mother until she starts putting bread on the table she needs to live within her economic means and whatever you’re willing to contribute. She sounds entitled and spoiled.

Yup, my mother is the reason for a lot of my demons. She was a single mother, after leaving my dad (a saint) to party, do drugs and whatever else too. I was left to fend for myself and physically and sexually abused as a child.

If not for extended family, I'd have just been left in my own filth as a baby whilst she partied. Once I was old enough to look after myself, it was me against the world(albeit having to look after/provide for her as well - I had to cook our own food, pay bills once I was old enough to work, look after her when she was drunk and hungover etc.)

It's one of those moments where I never really noticed how fucked up my upbringing was until I grew up and looked back. I'll always resent not getting a real childhood.

Your situation sounds like what a friend of mine went thru. His mom claimed his older brother deserted the family and wouldn't help. Except when he got a job his welfare collecting mom demanded he give her his whole paycheck, just as his brother had told him she did to him. He never believed his brother until it happened to him. When he wouldn't give her his whole paycheck she threw him out. He had to couch surf for a while until he could get his own place. Be prepared for her to be demanding you give her your entire paycheck. If she pulls that you will actually just be a slave. You need to have an exit strategy ready. Maybe move in with your dad?

I think scolding someone for not being more successful is going too far and you need to step back.

As they say, don't bite the hand that feeds you. She gave you life and (I presume) is supporting you, so you should tread lightly, just bite your lip, and when you're able to, aim to move out and become financially independent and stop being a burden to her. Then, once you're out of the house maybe you could suggest she get back to her career.

I was raised in a household that had very traditional familial roles.

My dad had the job and brought home the paycheck.

My mom stayed at home and took care of the house and kids.

I had minor household chores (take out the trash, pick up dog poop,mow the lawn, etc)

That type of structure functioned like a well-oiled machine. These days, women will fly into a rage if you even dare to suggest they should cook and clean. My mother is a NAWALT because she knew her place in the family structure.

I love my mom despite herself.

She is extremely AWALT.

I'm certain she cheated on dad, multiple times. No proof but I'm sure of it from obvious circumstantial evidence and not being stupid.

She spent all the family money on useless, literally USELESS shopping and now wonders why she's worried about going broke in her old age.

She STILL can't stop.

I've seen the credit card bills when I'm house sitting.

Buying 4 pairs of shoes at Nordstroms in a single trip. On overextended credit. There's barely even room in her closet for what she ALREADY HAS and that she never wears. That doesn't even slow her down.

My parents are worried about money CONSTANTLY, and that's what she does with her free time.

She has contributed about 5% of the family income to my father's 95% and she just absolutely abuses his betaness for years and years. (I will NEVER be like dad in that way, much as I truly love him)

She NEVER admits to doing anything wrong; maybe for a moment, but she refuses to make any CHANGES to her behavior. It's actually worse than talking to a retarded person. It's like part of the lights will NOT come on to admit she has faults. Scares me sometimes.

AWALT, AWALT AWALT. I could not be more black-pilled on this if I wanted to be.

Yea, I love her despite herself. It took me decades to rise above how much she disgusts me and just feel a sense of love towards her; sometimes she still disgusts me with her behavior though.

Dude I had the same realization about my own mother (I hate admitting it) she barely worked my whole life, 1 day a week maybe and she would flip out extra hard those days. And she would just lay into my dad about his business, she’s said every horrible thing you can think of to him in front of the kids and friends, she totally treats him like shit a lot.

She gives me shit about not being in a relationship very often and now I say for what? So I can support a girl who treats me like shit like you do to my dad?!

I love my mom but I feel bad for my dad, he’s the hardest working guy I’ve ever met.

Oh man can I feel you here! My own mother gave me up for adoption to my Dad's parents when I was 12, my brother went off to a boys home, the youngest, a sister, was raised by [GUESS WHO?] my biological mom. Decades later in life when she wanted me to help bail her out of her foreclosure situation because she had lived a lifestyle that centered around her and only her. (e.g. she never paid a red cent [or any other type of support] for my upbringing, college, to name a few etc.) And yet, she expected me to capitulate to her demands based ONLY the fact that she pushed me out her vagina. I already had a taste of the Red Pill back then, but it felt good once I finally said these long overdue words..."Mom, go fuck yourself". I know to many that seems like blasphemy, but to me it was liberating and a needed moment in my journey to full MGTOW.

I could put more here, but I am happy to report this is my first official post on the reddit MGTOW channel.

You're lucky to have a mother that worked. Most don't in the west if they don't have to. Women in developing countries don't have that luxury. She could have been a a sloth getting child support from the government and her ex (not necessarily your father). I came from a low working class family where both of my parents had to work manual labor. Is my mother AWAlT? You bet, but she worked hard to keep the family together. Respect is what makes us different from ungrateful brats. You should appreciate how you didn't have abusive parents or ones with gambling or drug problems, etc.

Damn, that sucks. Luckily, I have a great mother that doesn’t have the negative qualities that I see in other women. I’m also lucky enough to have a great father, so I didn’t have to deal with being raised by a single mother.

My views on women in general have been ruined also. My outlook on women and the future is pretty bad. A bitch until proven otherwise is how I think now.
