My sister lives about 2 hours away and I visit her and my niece as often as I can (usually 2 times a month). My sister doesn't have a job and her truck driver bf pays her bills. So when I come over I usually take them out to eat and give her money and generally pay for everything when we go out.

Just recently my grandmother has called me saying that my sister is accusong me of stealing my nieces laptop and that she called a pawnshop in my town and found it using the serial number. She also saod I stole $80 out of my nieces piggy bank. My niece supposedly said "I thought I could trust my own uncle 😢" So I told my grandmother to get the police involved and if that they would be able to get the security footage from the pawn shop if someone sold the stolen laptop.

I know she's lying, there's no way my nieces laptop ended up 2 hours away at a pawnshop in my town. It hurts because I try to help people and am getting accused by the ppl I've helped. I could text my sister about this but I was thinking of sending a letter in the mail confronting her about it.
