I have observed a direct correlation between the mentalities of two of our presidential candidates and what they promise, what they say, and most importantly, the followers they have amassed.

Sanders has made big bucks off of the "victim mentality" of millinials. His campaign has played to them that he is a victim of the dnc and he needs their lunch monies as donations, see the bernie thread comments if you don't believe it. There are countless other examples I could choose, but the one that stands out to me as a veteran is the whole "free college" garbage. Free college will undoubtedly work out just like "free healthcare" worked out for everyone. It is not feasable because of the status quo and quality of life provided for members of the Academia community by the great american student and tax payer. - There is a great free college program already in place Post 9/11), but young people are required to work for it, and that makes them victims.

On the opposite side, Trump has decided to self fund. Outcome independence - check. He has been called a bigot, racist, and a xenophobe, and remains stoic, it is out of his control what people who disagree will say about him. Lastly, he isnt running on a "we are so damaged, woe is us, we need to beat the man" feeling. Hell the campaign slogan is goal oriented and positive.

These are my opinions, feel free to disagree, but don't expect me to debate you.
