You know, there was a time when I actually thought that there had to be more to the "pay gap" than there seemed to be. It was brought up so often that I really thought someone must have noticed that simply comparing the average salaries between genders didn't account for so many blatantly obvious realities, and that there must be some at least slightly more sophisticated calculation being used to take into account the fact that women work less hours and choose less demanding and less risky jobs.

But no. Here it is. This is as far as their comprehensive powers go. Men are paid more on average, so let's rob them to give yet more unearned wealth to those who spend the entirety of their "careers" on maternity leave, offering sexual favours to persuade their bosses that a cheap calculator can't do their job just as well (if not better), and getting their more productive colleagues fired for not fitting into their mindless, gossipy little workplace cliques.

To say nothing of the fact that the "wage gap" has been empirically disproven by a litany of sources including women and self-identifying "feninists", how do you determine what a 25% gap is in an array of fields? An entry-level McDonalds worker on her first day is probably making something to the tune of $8, whereas a shift manager or GM is probably making $15+ an hour.

When you get to a larger company with different departments, roles, and hierarchies, everyone bitches that "the CEO makes 100x what I make", or comparing themselves to someone who probably has more experience, seniority, education, etc.. Fucking JLaw whining that she didn't make as much as Christian Bale when he was the TOP BILLED CAST.

This comic is horseshit because either she took out 25% of the top 100 CEO's weekly paycheck and redistributed them (which is unlikely since that would hardly be enough to go around, and most executives take their pay in a combination of pay, stock options, and dividends) or she individually calculated hundreds of millions of women's pay scales and added 25% to them, subsequently draining the accounts of these executives.

I can't stand Capeshit but Christ, Marvel. No wonder you're circling the drain.
