You guys are all hating on Mystery hard lol. Yes his methods will a little out there but think about back in 1995-2000, there was absolutely no material about pick up like there is now. Its the same thing with phones, there used to be only land lines, then we had giant cell phones, then they got smaller and then the evolution of smart phones came into play. You can't blame Mystery for his methods because no one taught him otherwise, everything he learned was self taught. The whole concept of negging, dhv and all that pua terms are all things he invented and we as a society evolved and sharpened it and made it better. You simply cannot compare the pick up methods now to the pick up methods then just like you can't compare the technology now to the technology back then.

The last point I want to make is that Mystery is the reason TRP exists. Without Mystery, there would be no Neil Strauss, without no Neil Strauss, there would be no The Game, and so on and so forth.

Don't get me wrong I think Mystery is a joke and his stuff would no longer work in this day and age but to pick on him about his past is just ridiculous

The Red Pill is both Frame and Game:

Frame : Ego boundry, firewall, separation from the herd, MGTOW, inner Freedom, etc...

Game : Manipulation, magic, creation of myths, emotional training, masculine love, dominance, PUA, etc...

We can see Frame and Game as like the X-axis and Y-axis. You can develop yourself along either axis or both and your results depend on the balance of both dimensions.

Mystery was all Game and no Frame. He was pure PUA. He got the fate we expect for imbalanced development.

Ugh, that article though. Mystery airing that stuff on social media is pretty weak, but the dude just wants to see his kids, and the article reviles in ridiculing him. Disgusting.

I met Mystery a few years ago while I was at a club.

I wasn't sure who he was exactly, but I recognized his face. He had really incredible presence, you could just tell he didn't give a fuck.

He's also a giant, so that helps.

We had a drink and chatted for a while. Nice guy, slightly eccentric but that's to be expected.

I owe him and the PUA community a lot for giving me the foundation to build upon with the Red Pill.

The most important take away from Mystery and all those guys for me personally was: Don't fall into One-Itis, don't put women on a pedestal.

Once I grasped that, the amount of women I got shot up exponentially. That motto is the basis for The Red Pill's sexual strategy in a lot of ways.

Mystery was definitely one of our forefathers.

Mystery was a tool. He noticed some foundational truths. Namely, he watched what guys who were successful with girls did, tried to imitate it, and became moderately successful doing so. But he ended up with a "system" that had like 100 rules and tricks and tactics, when really, only 10 of them actually worked. He didn't know what, specifically, was working and why, only that if you do all 100 of these things, you get laid with some success. So he spent a lot of time running around in make-up and feather boas doing magic tricks as an excuse to touch girls' hands, instead of figuring out that he could have been a normal dude who did the 10 things that worked and been even more successful with the ladies.

Then, he decided to try to monetize his system, like so many guys in his position did, with limited success. Because following a checklist and memorizing lines doesn't get you laid. Looks and social skills get you laid.

Yeah he's definitely not the godfather of red pill. He was the pioneer of the pua movement although he wasn't even necessarily the greatest. Just the first to turn it into a lifestyle and career and brought it to the forefront, along with Neil.

The subsequent mental breakdowns that both these men have had after is exactly why a pua lifestyle without TRP will kill you inside.

Game is one piece of smv. Not the whole thing.

One of the pitfalls of Mystery and mostly the PUA community is the inability to embrace the Alpha character that they display.I mean I get the importance of game.Lifting and being alpha on its own doesn't get you laid.You can lift as much as you like but as long as you dont open your mouth you will still go home alone. Trust me.I know from experience. But the major hurdle here with pick up is the inability to BE the excitement, confidence, charm, wit that you convey. Its not internalized.So when you bag "the one" you relax and the real you comes out.She gets a rude awakening that she got stuck with an AFC chump then she leaves you for Chad. Thats what I think happened here.I think the best thing to do is balance game and redpill practice

The natural alphas who generally always got the girl aren't on here reading these posts. But society, the educational system, and the post 50's gynocentrification of policy and laws led us to where we are today.

If you were raised buying in to the compliance and submissive culture of what modern masculinity has come to be, then you have a psychological belief system that is counter to what old school masculinity was biologically mean't to be. Call it a cult, a way of thinking, call it a "default" belief system.

Now feel your pain when things do not work as planned. Mystery was and is a magician, a show man. He was a performer. He had some things right. Most will just never work for the average man who has the belief system society left him with.

One rule I've learned is simply this. Blue pill neediness and desperation don't work. Sorry. Not how women like guys. It's unattractive and poor game coming obviously and directly from a position of weakness. So don't do it.

I don't have any particular ill will towards Mystery but he always struck me as a skinny peacock with a few tricks up his sleeve rather than some sort of icon to be admired and emulated.

The lesson here is that anyone can get oneitis. It's very difficult to defend against. The feelings you can do nothing about. The only thing you can do to defend against it is to acknowledge the feelings and consciously ignore them.

People get oneitis and don't realize they have oneitis all the time. Even guys like Mystery.

Women are calculating psychopaths. What have you done for her lately? They are 100% quid pro quo. Men? Well we are selfish, but we have feelings. It's how they manipulate us. This is why we get oneitis.

The core problem with PUA as practiced and founded by Mystery and Co is this; they focused on the process to get laid instead of why a man should get laid.

If you don't sort out the Why first , you're just gonna compound the bullshit in your life without a clue what it's all for.
