This sounds like psychological projection to me. It seems to hit a sore spot with her whenever somebody inquires about her marital status because on the inside she is likely starting to panic about still being single and in her late 20s. (Wait, seriously? Late 20s? She looks like she's in her late 30s at best.)

Also, notice how the article is supposed to be about single women buying houses, but 75% of it is spent complaining about men.

She is a very unattractive woman. I thought it was something I experienced because of my age, I'm in my late twenties. But then I spoke to a friend who is a lot younger and she has encountered the same attitude and has given up even talking to men because it's not worth the emotional drama.

There is also the other extreme where guys expect you to move to another country after a month of knowing them, and when you say you don't want to do that, you get called some horrible, horrible names.

If settling down for the sake of settling down means spending the rest of your life with guys like that, then honestly I think I would rather spend some time sticking pins in my eyes.
