DING DONG. Me looking from the window 1 stairs high downwards. I say: Yes? woman: Can you help me lift three boxes of tiles not far away from here. We will drive with my car.

Me making calculations.

She would never do something for me if I would ask her although she sometimes talks with my mother.

She will go with a car which means I will end up hearing all the questions about my life, future wife, education etc.

If it was a man in this situation would I help him?

eh, three boxes of tiles. No. So you're on your own. I replied to her I have homework to do. She said it's short. I said no. But it's only three boxes of tiles. No. Please. No. She wished me a nice day. I said nice day back. Did she expect me to be a gentleman? That era is over. At least for me.

Edit: It might be a dick move but I value my time over lifting three boxes of tiles and a long driving time although she said it will be short.

Edit2: The moral of the story is that no one is obligated to do a service for someone. Everyone has the right to say no to something he/she doesn't want to do. If you value your own time over helping someone with a task it's your decision. If you want to help, it's also your decision. The sad part is that it is expected from a man to help a woman in need. When he doesn't help her, he gets shamed for it. If the same thing would happen reversed, a man would also be shamed for it. I'm wondering when a woman rejects helping a man, would people also say that she isn't a decent human being and she is being a dick. I doubt it.

Eric Thomas said one time "Your dream has to be an emergency if you want to live your dream" I take that literally and I'm off doing my shit. have a nice day gents.
