I’m a divorced father who spent over $100,000 to get 50/50 time with my kids....AZ is better than most states in giving equal time but if you have a vicious ex who lies to the court calling you a gun-toting, suicidal, mentally ill drug-addict-it’s still going to be a fight. In the eyes of the court I was guilty of all of her allegations until I could prove definitively otherwise, which I did but it took over 2 years. There is no such thing as “innocent until proven guilty”, in family court it’s just the opposite.

You have no civil rights in these courts. No right to an attorney, no right to due process, no right to a jury trial of your peers, no right to a speedy trial...nothing...most fathers lose because they can’t afford to win or they simply give up (they are simply beat to a pulp by their ex’s attorney who work in concert with corrupt family court judges.). My ex was able to keep my kids from me for almost a year without any consequences. In fact she was rewarded with over $10k in child support for keeping them from me during that time.

I won, but at an extreme cost.

No sane man in 2020 would ever voluntarily get married. As a divorced man who knows the reality of marriage it would be recklessly irresponsible of me to ever recommend that my son get married or involved with any woman at all...

Shared custody laws have been blocked and failed to pass in the majority of states, presumption of equality under the law does not apply to men. Some genders are more deserving of "equality outrage" than others.

Custody situations need to start at 50/50 and be crafted to each couple’s situation. No child support paid to the other but expenses are assigned pro rata to income for agreed upon activities/items. No alimony and marital assets split 50/50.

what's insane is that even with 50/50 split custody, the higher income earner (men) is usually still court ordered to give her additional money to support the lifestyle ~~the kids~~ she was accustomed to.

I won 50/50 too. I encourage fathers to fight for their kids. Our children need men. These thots (my ex included) are idiots and are incapable of raising children with morals, love, discipline. We are better caregivers than women now. If you want to be. I could state example after example but any man with 50/50 knows these hoes can’t raise kids for squat. They are children themselves.

I have a friend in a 50-50 shared parenting (Portugal) and it is very fair. Expenses are always 50-50 too. Why isn't this more common?

I think 50/50 should be the baseline.
I also think CS should be gender neutral, put both parents salary in a spreadsheet and number of nights and calculate the CS. Nothing else.
Lastly I think the cost they put on a child is grossly overestimated. I've looked at some of the studies they use and they factor in things like having a car and housing. But don't responsible adults already have those things?

One last cavate, out on the dating scene I meet alot of single moms. I was shocked to hear alot, not all, are pro 50/50. These are career women that make about the same money as their ex husband. They like those 3-4 nights off to go to the gym and fuck around.
