I dont think people understand how bad it hurts their movement with the looting. Stealing is a heart issue. 1x a year i get handed back the wrong change from someone and i always give it back to them and explain how far off they are. I dont like customers paying me before a job is done because im not finished. Im not walking away with something just because i can.

None of these people need clothes. The fact you could steal clothes from a building burn it down then wear the clothes and not feel shame is because you have no honor, everybody watching knows it.

Bit of stats from an unpopular opinion comment

The uncomfortable reality is that, while racism is real and affects many lives, the data simply doesn’t support the idea that we’re living in the middle of some enormous wave of hatred and racism-fuelled violence. A few very key and very publicly available stats are:

Of the roughly 1,000 total people killed by police every year, 40% are white and 20% are black. If you die at the hands of a cop, you are twice as likely to be white than black. It is true that 20% is still disproportionately high, considering black people only make up 12% of the population, but black people are also responsible for 52% of the country’s murders and are 8x likelier to commit violent crime in general.

Given these numbers, the disproportionality of black deaths at the hands of police is pretty clearly accounted for, since lethal force is likeliest to be used in instances of violent crime. Even if you don’t agree with that, proportionality is still just a percentage. It’s just a number. Ultimately, white people are the primary recipient of police violence, since twice as many actual lives are lost in total. Maybe it’s slightly disproportionate to population size, but it’s still more overall lives lost at the end of the day. That’s the reality of police violence.

Crime statistics also clearly show that inter-racial murder is far, far more common than extra-racial murder. 93% of all black murder victims die at the hands of another black person. This suggests that the vast majority of black murders in America are not racially motivated. If anything, those crimes are more likely to be the result of systemically poor economic conditions and the fact that a staggering 65% of black children in America live in single-parent households. Not only are the children of single-parent households 4x likelier to live in poverty than kids who have two parents in the home, but they’re also dramatically more likely to end up with criminal records as adults. Black kids with two parents in the home end up doing far better in this regard.

So, it’s clear from the data that black people are not the primary recipient of police violence, as only 1 out of every 5 people killed by police are black. It’s also clear that race is not the primary motivation for black murders, as only 7% of black victims are killed by someone who isn’t also black.

None of this suggests that racism isn’t real. It doesn’t suggest that racism doesn’t happen. It doesn’t suggest that there aren’t many victims of racism and abuse at the hands of the police. It doesn’t suggest that the police are innocent, that black people aren’t hard done by, or that their isn’t a lot of work to be done.

All it suggests is that the problem isn’t nearly as huge as the media, politicians, and our popular culture would have you believe. Being black in America is not the death sentence it’s being sold as. It’s a problem. It’s something that very much needs addressing. But when the whole world is freaking out the way we are, our confirmation bias starts to kick in. The more we build up the problem in our minds, the more we start to believe it. And the cycle repeats, escalating things further and further without anyone bothering to see if the facts support any of it.

You know, I've been thinking about the whole BLM concept.

Back in law school, we were taught the concept of: Expressio Unius Est Exclusio Alterius. "The express mention of one thing implies the exclusion of another."

If we apply that to "Black Lives Matter", it implies that asian/white/brown/indian/etc lives don't matter.

The people spreading that phrase everywhere are the real racists.
