Yep you get your heart broken. Then you heal. Then you try the love thing again. Rinse and repeat. It depends on the individual, but eventually most men are going to say enough is enough and give up on the love fantasy entirely. Perhaps such a thing still exists but it doesn't seem worth the effort anymore. The risks far outweigh the benefits in this day and age. I'm almost 34. There's a girl I really liked in gr 9 and awkwardly asked out... Ended up being embarrassed after being shot down. Had a weird quasi friendship after where sometimes shed toy with me other times she was nice. Always had a soft spot and was I'm track with her. Even seeing her visit roommates gf freshman year. Also actually had a dream about her a fee weeks ago and brought back memories...o know i dodged a bullet but still feel tender...

Another girl i fell for in gr 10... Asked her to hang out and spent time with her.. loved just being around her and seeing how well she treated her lil sis... Someone else swooped in around when I thought i was ready... After that always loved onto other real fast. Biggest high school regret was leaving for school and hearing from her friend the feeling was mutual. Saw her on summer break and still felt it. Also had dreamt about her maybe a year ago ...she turned into one of those green activist types into astrology and stuff so again dodged a bullet but still remember how I felt...

So yeah... I always fell so hard and it's almost like I'll always have a soft spot for a couple people in my life. I only wish I'd been loved the same way even once. My stbx I had chosen to see in a positive light for years of being treated poorly before eventually I had enough just in last couple (10 years total) that's probably around when I started to have dreams again of the past. I was hurting enough that it's like during sleep I'd try to escape to better times I guess

Should also add that obviously the first heart break made me hesitant with girls already. Second one was more bittersweet... Never bothered with a single girl at tech school. Was after working and living on my own for a couple years before I kinda met someone

We do recover, but it changes us forever. That's a major difference between men and women. Women will continue to have casual sex with the top 5-10% Chads, but these guys will never commit to them, since they have so many options. So the woman goes through dozens of guys in her 20's and by her 30's hates men because the guys she felt entitled to would never commit to her.

For men, we fall in love, then get crushed by women who lie, cheat, manipulate, etc. Because it is female nature. So we learn about female nature and adapt to it. We may get badly burned when we are younger, but we learn to protect ourselves when we are older so their tricks will no longer work on us. the reason men get hurt and not women is because women don't experience actual feelings like love and respect. Evolution designed women to be uncooperative as they protect the nest and the babies while the men were out hunting in groups and packs, learning and evolving to be team players and gain respect for each other. Men are capable of feeling attachment to a person for reasons beyond whats on the surface level, a deep respect that women can't and won't ever understand. Women only think about their own safety and security because thats how evolution made them, it's not something they can just change.

Men are, by societal pressure and the laws, pressed to choose to do the right thing - commit to love.

Women are given a pass, by society AND all the laws, to not commit, but to consume as much as they can, do whatever they want - wrong is rewarded.

You can't live with that.

If you're going to be in a relationshit, then BOTH have to commit to it. If you're not going to commit and be loyal, then don't be in any relationshit. Then you have those that don't want to commit to anything, and they all just run around and fuck everything in sight - casual sex - and think there's no consequences.
