I know it shouldn’t and I’m preaching to the choir but wow... (sorry if this is too much of a rant)

I started a public Instagram for my nutrition work/study a while ago but I started dedicating time to in the last two months and as a consequence, have more followers who aren’t friends and direct family. I wouldn’t say I’m super attractive, more average pretty and I don’t post revealing photos of myself. It’s mostly graphics and sometimes I show my face on my stories. I have about 1,100 followers.

Daily, I get at LEAST one message from a guy sliding into my DMs asking if I’m single with some stupid pick up line or a straight up dick pick. I had a guy send me photos of different roses every day for a week until I blocked him (I never replied). Another guy told me my “hips are beautiful like art history”. I was offered $8k a week to be a sugar baby. WTF.

I don’t know what they get out of it. Who is responding to these messages? I’m assuming they want photos / dirty talk out of it but who is giving that to a random on the Internet?! I assume it’s working somewhere or they’d stop doing it.
