It absolutely can be that way. All couples look perfect on Instagram.

In general, most couples are really fucking unhappy either way but refuse to admit it and break up.

I don’t have the sources immediately at hand but you can Google it, there is actually scientific research that says that the most insecure people are the ones who are constantly posting about their relationships on social media. There was one recently that said that if a person has their significant other in their profile picture, they are probably very insecure.

Plus it’s my very unscientific opinion that almost everything people post on social media is completely fake and very far from reality. 😉

It can be that way sometimes. This guy who used to be my best friend and is in a super toxic relationship for the past 12 years, ALL his posts are about his boyfriend and they always comment and like each other’s stuff. It’s because he’s pushed all his other friends away because he won’t go anywhere without the bf and the bf is a huge pain in the ass. So maybe if someone has an abusive boyfriend and ends up isolated because of it, all their posts are about the relationship because that’s literally the only thing they have going on in their life.

Any relationship based on that much narcissism and need for external validation is full of red flags. If two people are really in love they don't need to shove it down everyone else's throats. A picture together now and then is fine, but if theyre building a damn portfolio full of intimate try-hard pics or they're constantly online, they probably are miserable. Thats my view on it.

Personally I only post on SM when I'm happy (so like never, lmao) but I do know that some people are the opposite and are doing it to get attention from others because their partner isn't providing them with any, or something else is lacking in the relationship. It all really depends on the individual. I would be pretty offended if someone accused me of posting all the time because I'm actually unhappy.

Some are, some aren’t. I wouldn’t post couple pics all the time, but if I were in a relationship I’d love to. I think it’s ridiculous to believe that people who post are automatically miserable (I’ve seen lots of people say that).
