Too busy? I tried to post this as a reply to another post about ppl not making time. I’ve heard the “I’m too busy” excuse too many times (this is reposted from r/memes)

So many gems in that thread, here is what I mined:

*It's really very simple: Someone who wants to spend time with you will make time for you.

*If someone wants your time and truly is busy they will suggest a concrete date or time as a replacement like "this Friday at 7".

*This is why I date multiple people until things get sexual with one of them. Saves me from investing more than I should.

*Lies through ommission. I started directly asking people if they’re single if they don’t list it on their profile. Watch the guilty parties get pissed off super easy, but they’re the ones who’d be “too busy” for you anyway.

*I read something that said every time you say “I don’t have time” change it to the real wording “that’s not a priority.”

*sometime just trying to be chill or give some space enables the other person to treat you as lower priority.

*They only want it their way - they want it to be spontaneously when they’re available, and if you’re not they get annoyed and/or they just won’t commit to booking jn a time to see you. They’re not worth it imho, cut them off.

*Never make someone a priority that only makes you an option.

*It’s so true - because if you want to see somebody you make the time. Nobody is too busy, youre just not a priority.

It’s so sad they nearly all of us have been with someone who is unavailable. I was chasing a man that didn’t have time for me couple of years ago and I’m so glad I came to my senses. They are wasting our time and in many cases it’s our fault. Stop making excuses for unavailable men who are not even trying to make us a priority.
