I was reading the writings of Germaine Greer the other day, who pointed out that abandoned wives would cry "what did I do to deserve this?" to their ex-husbands. Sadly acts of kindness towards men is in no way a guarantee of earning anything you want from them. Pickmes (and a lot of our former selves) have often fallen into the trap of bending over backwards for a man only to be met with a rude awakening.

There's nothing wrong with the occasional favor, but if he's not already granting you with the treatment you deserve then he's not worth it.
