Ladies:

Asking you because I know you will give it to me straight. I’ll make it short and sharp.

I have been applying FDS to the guy I have been dating. We went on our first date in early December, then I went abroad for a month. He stayed consistently in touch daily while I was away, and as soon as I got back, picked me up from the airport. So since about January 10 we have resumed in person, and have been dating regularly. He’s taken me out on nice dates, done boyfriend things like drive me to pick up relatives etc.

Since I had been gone for a month, it seemed a bit early to expect the exclusivity convo without giving it a bit more time. I told myself that it would be fair to give him 6 weeks from the day I returned from my trip, which would be 26 Feb, to lock it down. A deadline so to speak.

Now, I’m at a bit of a loss; it feels like we are almost at the define the relationship stage, but not quite there. Valentine’s Day is looming (5 weeks into his 6 week deadline), and since we haven’t established exclusivity, I am unsure what I should expect of him. It’s not that the day is particularly of value to me. It’s that I feel it carries meaning if he doesn’t ask me out for it.

Am I to expect him to plan a date for the night ? If he doesn’t ask me out for the day, does that pretty much mean I need to cut him off?
