Layoffs happen everyday. Be diligent with proper training and education, and never be more loyal to a company that isn’t as loyal to you.

I think for clarification:
She values her education foremost which then creates the ability for her to have a career and that career makes her money.
Regardless of layoffs or bills this woman will always have her education and therefore will always be ready, willing and able to work in her chosen career field. Therefore she will always be able to earn more money.
Y’all with the ridiculous nitpicking fail to see the larger point. Men leave. Men are disloyal. Men use, abuse and lose women everyday.
Don’t be a pickme LVW and keep supporting these losers while they’re just waiting to gain their own agency to just move on and do what they want.
Too many men today live off of their women and just wait until the opportune moment to pick up and move on.
Look at Jeff Bezos as a prefect example. His woman was by his side through all his struggles and now that he’s a gazillionaire he just fucked right off into the sunset after having emotionally and financially used his wife through his own career struggles.
MacKenzie Bezos became an accountant for Amazon, and is considered one of the company's earliest employees. According to Wired, she was responsible for negotiating Amazon's first freight contracts, ironically, at a Barnes and Noble bookstore.
Some backstory on Amazon start

She was rewarded billions, she did just fine.

I suppose the money helped, but getting dumped like that still must have stung.

Maybe, but he is such a little troll. If it were me I would be laughing all the way to the bank and go out there and find a real man.
[–]TheHistoryMachineFDS Apprentice34 points35 points36 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Exactly. And never, ever give up any of those things for a man.

So true. Invest in yourself ladies. Put your effort into education and career and finances first, then men but only if you want.
[–]partypancakesbaconFDS Newbie7 points8 points9 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
So so true!! And enables you to be selective as well.

Actually....your money might....just sayin.

Unfortunately this isn’t true. Don’t give up your life for your career and money. You can be replaced at any time. Be smart with every part of your life

Sis, I think it’s only a small number of women here that are toxic, but they post stuff that gets attention.
Most women here are decent, and just looking for a decent man to love them.

It was a short sentence, I can see how it could have been taken as if you're saying that career and money are not important because they don't keep you warm.
Did you mean 50% career, 50% relationship?
I don't feel like I have to compromise my career to be "warm". A HVM won't have a problem with me keeping and focusing on my job. We would both be responsible for the household chores, raising kids, etc.
And not only if he leaves, but also if he has an accident and dies, will having your own income be the best case scenario.

I’ve seen this post before and I wish I could agree buuuuuut...... life just doesn’t offer any type of security unfortunately. Money can always go away (bad investment, unforeseen tragedy, etc.) as can a career. Education is pretty permanent, but that’s the only thing on this list which truly is. At the end of the day, all you got is yourself, girlfriend.
[–]RayneSinclair -3 points-2 points-1 points 6 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
It won’t keep me warm either.
50/50 if possible, I think.
[–]Hot-apricotFDS Newbie8 points9 points10 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
And then there is illness, too.
Not saying a relationship is the only way to counter this.
[–]alexisdr-1 points0 points1 point 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Don't sacrifice education/career/money for a warm body!
[–]RayneSinclair 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Literally not what I meant.
Idk what part of “50%/50%” and what part of “if possible” got lost in translation.

But how do you say that without sounding like a total bitch?
When I was in nursing school, I was dating a surgeon. He was a resident and worked crazy hours and was under a lot of pressure to get into his top fellowship. After about six months of dating, I asked him to come to a BBQ/pool party at my parents’ house and he freaked out and broke up with me. When I asked why, he said that he couldn’t commit to a serious relationship now and word for word said “I need to focus on my career. Women come and go, but my career will never leave me.”
I thought he was the biggest fucking douchebag for saying that. So how can is ladies say the same thing to men and have it be okay?
[–]1322111 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
When have they ever given a F weather it was ok? That’s part of our problem... we are too concerned with not hurting, disrespecting, or offending them when more often than not they could give a rats ass.
