You definitely don't have to settle if you need more communication. I'm not okay with that either. If a guy isn't into texting me a lot, he at least needs to make plans with me regularly so that we can see each other in person. I'm good either way. My last narcissistic ex would only text maybe once a week, but he made weekly plans with me. I think he thought the not texting would hurt me, but it didn't because he did make and keep plans

I’ve learned this same disappointing lesson over and over again. Now, I’m only choosing myself until someone makes it crystal clear that they are choosing me. I hope you continue to do so too.

i completely abhor texting. i only use it for relaying information, not conversations. if there's going to be back and forth dialogue i will call/ask others to call. screens can give me terrible migraines if i'm not careful. that being said, i will go anywhere from 3-7 days without reaching out to someone i am casually dating. i realize i am far from the norm in this regard.

i've learned that i simply can't meet the needs of a partner who requires texting in the relationship, as a means of conversation. i generally make it clear upon meeting that i hate digital forms of communication, because it was an issue in my last relationship i don't want to repeat anytime soon. even though i still made it very clear to the last one that too much screen time causes me great pain.

so many winners out there to choose from. are convents still a thing?

i'm glad you're moving on, you deserve someone who cares enough to at least meet you half way in a situation like this, especially since you brought it to his attention.

I think you have to take into consideration that being in med school is freaking hard. You literally are studying for a majority of the day...Constant stressing out, when you relax you kind of just want to unplug from technology because you're infront of a computer or listening to lectures... I mean I'd go many hours sometimes days without replying to family members and close friends..Unless you're in med school too I duno if dating a med student is a good idea..
