Saw this movie in theatres when it first came out about 10 years ago. Thought it was cool at the time but then I recently watched it on Netflix and realized how idiotically blue pilled and beta it was. A lonely "nice guy" falls in love with a single mother. He gets friend-zoned when the baby daddy is back in the picture. Then he risks his own life to save her and the kid without getting anything in return except for a stab wound to the abdomen. And the theme song for this movie is called "A Real Hero". This is the kind of brainwashing that has been instilled within us but we never noticed. We are conditioned to think this is appropriate or even desirable character traits in order to be a man of substance. It's bullshit.
