I am so enraged by this entire case. She was not safe at base. Sargents lied saying she was seen after she passed. These assholes need to charged as accessories and need to send a message to ppl at fort hood that this is no longer going to be accepted.

The fact this animal didn’t notify police, when she knew who did it is pathetic. She needs to be charged with manslaughter or something. I hate this happened to her.

She was sexually harassed. No one did anything and when she tried to speak up she is chopped up. I hate this shit so much.

I went through a phase where I wanted to join the military. To be honest, if there weren’t so many rapists and sexist pigs in the military I probably would have joined.

Sometimes I wish I joined the air force so I can travel, get school paid for, and change lives. But I don’t see the military becoming a female friendly environment anytime soon, so I don’t plan on it.

This is why women in the military don't report sexual assaults/harassment - instead of the perpetrator being charged/tried, they face career repercussions, further harassment/alienation, and sometimes (like in this case) death. It's an epidemic, and it's tragic. Ladies - if you want to serve or do already, be careful, try to avoid spending time alone with any man, it'll hurt your reputation even if nothing happens! If you're a civilian - be very careful when dating/talking to military men - for every amazing HVM in uniform there's a NVM counterpart who will be downright dangerous.
