Are you over 35?

I’ve gotten it as well. It’s a scammer. I used to think only men were the targets of OLD scammers, but I suspect they are targeting women over 35 now as well because we are ‘desperate’. They usually have many pictures of a good looking man who appears to be around 30 year old but the profile says 40-50 years old. The bio is usually pretty well written, but I’ve seen some that read like a woman’s bio. Sometimes they use the wrong pronouns. On POF, it’s pretty obvious because they usually indicate that they have black hair and brown eyes when the man in the picture clearly does not. The messages they send are always written poorly and never reference anything specific about my profile.

When I was on Tinder I got a lot of these. They were always at a distance of about 50 miles, which in my case would be at a point on either side of the highway coming or going where no one lived and cell service would be unlikely. I would ask them to tell me what city they lived in and they would name one that isn’t in my state.

They feel very Eastern European to me. I can’t figure out what the scam might be. Any ideas? Is it a 90 Day Fiancé thing?
