How to reject a guy?

I hate to say it but the truth is you can't be direct with these men. If it's someone at work with I would tell him I don't date at work. You could gray rock them as much as possible. Look that up. It's great for dealing with people who won't leave you alone.

I've never found a good way to deal with these men. A lot of times I would just play coy and then pretend I forgot about them or something. Avoid them as much as possible. The best suggestion that I have is to just not be nice to men at all. Smile as little as possible, keep a straight face, don't ever indulge any of their bullshit, don't make friendly chit-chat. Just don't look like any fun. Don't let your guard down ever. Be off-putting to their penis-thoughts basically.

Guys seem to freak out when you ignore them. I think there are three reactions: confused, mad, sad, or a combination of those thee. Especially if you were friendly/showing interest before. Still, to make yourself clear you have to ignore them and you have to stick to it and not slip up. As I have learned from FDS, no contact really is the way. Men and women 100% communicate differently.

I used to tiptoe around when rejecting men but now if someone’s asking me out I just say that I’m already dating someone atm. Tiptoeing for their egos isn’t worth your energy and you’re usually the safest if they think there’s another guy is in the picture for you.

It depends how long I want to wait. The reason why I ended a 9 month relationship over text was because I wasn’t going to see him for a weekend and the unfortunate timing was also during the work day (so I couldn’t see him or call at the time).

It’s also safer through text.

I used to try to do it face to face. I usually hand them all their junk back or gifts that I don’t want to remember them by. Face to face takes a lot of time but the people I date usually have good emotional boundaries and won’t stoop to shitty behavior. We just part ways.

I hope this guy gives you some distance. Start documenting everything in a notebook if things start getting weird.

No way is the wrong way. Sometimes you need to hurt their feelings and that is okay. We can’t coddle them. We don’t want to know them. If you have to stand up for yourself, please do.

You just say no thanks, I’m not interested. Preferably immediately walk away. The ones with fragile ego syndrome will get upset no matter what you do.
