I was asked out by a guy I just met a few weeks ago. He was attractive and friendly, so I agreed when he asked me if I wanted to have a drink with him. I was heading home on a sunny weekend afternoon and figured "why not?"

We went to a bar where he's a local and a wonderful guardian angel mentioned he was married. Was this guy wearing a ring? Of course, he wasn't.

All the stuff about problems at home and how he wished he'd met me earlier definitely came up. I told him that while his attention was flattering, he'd be going home to his wife and I was going home alone.

I point out to married men to seriously think about it. Why would that even be attractive to me? If you're married and can't communicate effectively with your wife, why would I want you? There are enough single men out there that if I want just sex, I don't need a man with a partner for that. What is the value proposition for fooling around with someone who has a partner? Nothing.

I was actually always a person with male friends but it can get plain weird when they are in a relationship pretty quickly.

Also it's hard to find good male friends because so many of them think about you not as a friend at very many points in your friendship.

I recently moved to a major city that a college ex lives in. We’re friends on social media but never really stayed in touch. He reached out when he saw I had moved, and We chatted briefly. I congratulated him on his recent engagement. He now will not leave me alone. He’s yet to say anything overtly inappropriate- but keeps trying to relive old stories. Every time he would bring up our previous sex life I would bring up his fiancé. I eventually had to block him.
