This is definitely making me uncomfortable for some reason, I definitely see this as negging. I wouldn't have mentioned your ptosis though, he was definitely fishing for things to make you insecure about. Now I like to ask what they mean and see them dig themselves into a hole lol

Listen to your gut. If his messages make you feel weird, block him right away.

At best, he is socially awkward and doesn’t know how to appropriately start a convo. At worst, he is negging you which I’m pretty sure this is. Either way, you probably don’t want to see him

Totally weird. Either it's a neg or he doesn't have great social skills. Either way....not worth your time if he's weird this early in. It make more sense if it was one of the first messages he sent you on the app, but it would still be a weird/rude first message.

Hmm, something about this text makes me a bit uncomfortable....but I can’t put my finger on what exactly it is?

Having ptosis corrected can really change the look of someone’s face and with your mouth and nose covered it’s way harder to identify a person when you can really only see their eyes (and now their eyes are different).

But still, I just don’t think he really needed to say this. Without more context or knowing the guy, I can’t tell if this is genuine confusion about something that’s changed or a subtle attempt to neg.

If the 3 dates were impressive and this is the only red flag you’re seeing, I don’t think it would be bad to continue seeing and vetting him. However, if he’s got other red flags (especially other incidents of negging) I’d drop him.
