Been there, and seriously, I would do things differently, with experiences I have now. I would definitely try meds. I don't know how I managed to survive my 20s. I was hurting so incredibly much.

Been there (my relationship was waaay shorter doe) and antidepressants worked wonder. Not only numb the pain, but make you happier in the procces. Why would you suffer b/c of NVM/LVM? Stigma around antidepressants is really debilitating.

That was me for the majority of my twenties. I was broken by trauma from years of severe bullying and abusive relationships. I was just functioning like a robot, but completely devoid of passion and creativity. What helped me most was going on antidepressants (zoloft). They pulled me out of my swamp of depression and numbed my pain and anxiety.

I also got myself kitties. It's so good to have something /someone to love on who loves you back unconditionally. My cats won't turn their back on me when I age or become bigger.

After being on antidepressants for two years I noticed that I missed having the whole spectrum of feelings. For me the meds took off the edge, the lows felt less devastating , but i also didn't really experience any highs to speak off. Everything felt kind of mediocre. That's when I went off them in September and currently I'm fine.

Also I'd totally go on antidepressants again if I'd experience another major depressive episode. They were a lifesaver and starting them doesn't mean you have to stay on them forever.

Poor dear. I've experienced the hollow feeling depression and what started the recovery for me was mass amounts of vitamin D3.

If it was a seven year relationship, including a five year marriage, I think she would feel significantly better about everything. A seven year relationship can end with one text message, no explanations, and when it’s over, there’s no trace to prove that it was ever real.

Poor thing. How disorienting.
