Hey everyone, I’ve noticed that with all the girls I’ve been with recently I’m pretty good at keeping the texting to a minimum. I usually text for logistics only with a quick ping the day before the meet up, and occasionally I’ll exchange a few messages between meetups. However I also have noticed that these flings fizzle out pretty quickly. The girls even bring up the lack of texting during dates and say that they don’t even know if I like them because of it. When they ask me why I don’t text them much I tell them that 1. I’m busy and don’t always necessarily have time to text (which is only partially true if I’m being honest), 2. I don’t really like texting, especially with girls since it’s easy for miscommunications to occur, as well as my experience with over texting in my past, and 3. I’d much rather talk in person and not having a constant conversation between meetups allows for us to have topics to discuss when we meet in person. Points 2 and 3 above are genuinely true; I barely even text my own best friends for the same reasons aside from sharing memes with each other.

For reference, I’m 26 and this has happened with four different girls from 21-28 years old in the last few months since I’ve started actively dating post-quarantine. Hoping some people can shed some light on this, maybe even help me identify where I’m going wrong.
