Contrary to what feminism tries to insist, women have a natural desire to have babies. A very, very strong desire. This means that when a woman does not have children of her own, she starts to become stressed because her instincts are screaming at her to have children.

For a select few women, there will not be a looming sense of doom if they do not have children. These women can have the careers and other lifestyle choices that are not conducive to having children and be happy. But this is not most women. More women than not will end up very miserable if they do not prioritize having a family. This means that for most women, they should make it the top priority to find a man that is the best possible choice to be a husband and father to their children. This requires them to start looking in their 20s when they have the greatest amount of desirability and fertility so that they can attract a suitable man and have healthy children. This may mean they do not have an ambitious career or a doctorate. At least not right away. But that is just reality. No one can truly have it all.

Instead, this woman ends up being frustrated that she is 35 and has no husband and children while others around her are married and having children. This woman can serve as a lesson for other women: if you want to have a husband and children, you need to do so sooner rather than later. And I don't mean starting at 30. Instead, a decade earlier would be better.

Are other women having casual sex with hot guys at parties? Yep. But that does not mean you should be doing so too. That party girl is going to have it much harder when she finds out that her prospects are greatly reduced based on her past. Are other women and men trying to get their careers off the ground amd you wish to compete with them and even beat them? Go ahead and try that. Just know that you should not expect a husband to be waiting for you when you decide that you can finally make time to start considering relationships.

Life is comprised of many choices. Making the wrong ones can mean consequences you do not like. Consider that before you think that you can get everything you want, because most likely, you cannot get everything.

Envy is the death of joy (and comparison is the birth of envy).

Maybe she should try to be less of a screw-up. She may not get the same "happily-ever-after" as her "prettier, more stable" kid sister, but she could probably find someone with suitable RMV if she takes the time (and expends the effort) to make herself into a woman worthy of a man's commitment.

Edit: needless to say, the best time for that was 10-15 years ago, but since that ship has sailed, now will have to do.

Must suck to be a woman. This summer, I'm leaving my industry to pursue something entirely new to me. My peers are being promoted and moving into new positions that they've worked their asses off for. Everyday for the last few weeks I've been riding a tidal wave of amazing news from all directions.

I'm a little worried about leaving, but the opportunities and possibilities are turning out to be incredible. My friends are excited and standing by to support me. At the same time, I'm cheering on my brothers who are taking on new challenges. It's fucking awesome.

It must suck to be a woman and only feel hate and contempt for everyone around you.

I also have problems with intrusive thoughts of envy. Part of it is because of the shame. I don't want to imagine what kind of mental anguish I would have had if I had the crippling shame and female baby-fever hormones all at once!

Overcoming unhelpful crippling shame is extremely empowering. I like myself more and other people like me more because I am more in touch with myself. I have less of a complex because I focus more on what actions are within my control, and I am more honest with myself and others about what I choose to do and not do.
