First off, I'm not a very sexual person. I used to be when I was younger, but got tired of all the drama and emotion tied to it, and eventually just the act itself. I try no to be a prude (even though I've been monk mode for like a decade now), but it all feels like obsessive lust, and like it just dominates everyone's mind.

  1. One of my friends has been with his wife/girlfriend for 25+ years. Out of nowhere, she gets the idea in her head that she's been missing out, starts calling him abusive, files for divorce. My first advice to him was to control his sexual desire and to NOT have sex with her again. So, sure enough he did anyway, and she hit him with a rape claim, after she initiated what he thought was make-up sex. So his uncontrolled desire just super-fucked him, and his wife's uncontrolled sexual desires just broke up their family (they have kids).

  2. Another one of my friends, I reconnected with after moving back to my hometown. We started getting together and having game nights, drinking, smoking cigars and just chilling out. He and I had some amazing conversations about philosophy, science, the future, etc. It has been awesome. After a few months of this, his wife starts joining in on our game sessions, and now all she does is rub on his dick under the table while staring at me, and every time we get together, they bring up the idea of me finding a girl and all of us having group sex. And they won't shut up about it, after I've tried to politely shut it down. She even had the nerve to make fun of how much he and I talk about nerdy shit, like science, the last time we met up. So, uncontrolled sexual desire is just ruining what was otherwise a pretty great, mentally fruitful time.

Anyway, I lurk in this sub a lot, and see all the stories, and I needed somewhere to vent this. It feels like people are slaves to their orgasm at the expense of any decent structure they might have built around them. A society where people were a bit more reserved would go a long way, IMO. But, then again, maybe I am just a prude or something.

Thanks for listening to my rant, guys.
