TLDR: how do you guys determine how vulnerable to be with your partner? Redpill pushes the idea of being the emotional equivalent of Fort Knox, which I currently follow for the most part, but I want to hear other perspectives.

Hello lads, been around red pill and pickup for around 2, maybe 3 years at this point? Was never fully indoctrinated into the ideals of using women solely for their bodies, but I've been in my (M20) first relationship for 6 months now, and I'm just wondering how you guys look at vulnerability in relationships.

For some context, I am currently of the belief that based on biological differences and how men and women process emotions differently, men should keep a bit more of a tight hold on their emotions while women should be a bit more forthcoming with their problems. This has been a point of contention with my partner- I haven't explicitly stated that I see there to be gender differences, but I do ask her to be as open as possible with her problems, yet I am more reserved with what I share.

Last night, we were talking on the phone, and she mentioned how she saw a post (on a separate Reddit account of mine) from about 3 years ago when I was losing weight, and we got to talking about me (likely) having some sort of eating disorder.

It's the morning after the discussion currently, and my thoughts are racing. This is the first time I've had issues processing an emotion in our relationship so it is very out of the ordinary for me to be so worked up about it.

Things she has said in the past (paraphrasing): 1. you're too perfect for me and 2. I would be fine without you. My mind currently is going in the direction of "oh shit, well now she knows one of your flaws and is going to end the relationship", which 1. I know is completely irrational because she still very much sees me as her 'one' and 2. while I love my partner, I've done extensive thinking about being without her and do not have 'oneitis', which has led me to conclude that my brain is struggling to process this level of vulnerability.

My question for those of you who have experience in a committed relationship is how do you structure your level of vulnerability with your partner? My current belief of her being more vulnerable than me is biting me in the ass, and I'm not sure if I should double down on being more reserved with my feelings or if I should be more open. Obviously, there's a spectrum, but I'd love to hear from you guys on how you figure/figured out what to be open with your partner about.

If you made it all the way here, thank you for reading.
