Future faking can be about little things, too, such as when he says, "Let's get together next Tuesday," but doesn't immediately suggest a time, place, and activity. I've had so many men do this, that I've learned that you don't put something on the calendar unless he gives a date, place, and activity.

"Oh, that sounds nice. When you call with details, I'll put it on my calendar." This let's him know that he must make a plan to get on my calendar. Otherwise, I'm not planning on that, it's just future faking.

Telling me about how he was house hunting for a place near good schools on the first dates. Asking me on a weekend getaway days before (planned) breaking up with me. So many ways to future fake.

Oof lol he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me MONTHS into knowing me. I fell for it bc I was 18 and thought he truly did love me. During the time we were officially dating each other, not once was marriage or children mentioned. He told me a story about his mom asking him when he was going to propose to me and he told me “you know that gif of Homer Simpson backing into a bush? That was me” nice lmao. I saw a future in him but what was the point of even making myself look like an idiot to tell him that when I knew how he truly felt about marrying me?

He also got scared shitless when I spoke about me being good with kids and being a potential good mom (this was in response to a meme he sent me about women I forgot the context tho) and in a shitty way he asked “what kids wtf?” Literally acted like we had a pregnancy scared when we’re both virgins lol. I had to tell him to fucking relax because he was seriously acting like a child. Acting like having a family with me was the worst thing in the fucking world. We dated for three years and I really wish I had known better. I’m 23 years old right now and I really feel like I wasted my years... but I guess I was shown what I didn’t deserve all this time. Future faking sucks. It really does get you hooked onto something good but it never ends up happening. And when you realize it won’t happen, it sucks.
