Did you know, men and women can BOTH get vaccinated for HPV (up to age 45 in the US)? Yet most men aren't bothering, even though:

  1. The vaccine is recommended for both sexes
  2. HPV causes cancers in both sexes, though more often in women
  3. HPV can infect areas not covered by a condom and men can't be tested for it
  4. The vaccines are most effective when both partners are vaccinated.

Women already take on the vast majority of risk in hetero sex. Men getting their HPV vaccines (AND getting tested for other STIs, AND still using condoms) should be a bare minimum standard. It won't protect against virus strains he picked up before he met you, but a dude who doesn't care if he gives women cancer is not someone who deserves our time.
