This is sweet, but it also gives me a bit of a twinge because I think of all the stuff I used to do for my LVX that was so normalized and would have never warranted any kind of mention on a major website.

In my certified Pickmeisha days, I would wake up when my boyfriend's alarm went off, and while he was in the shower, I'd make him coffee and cook his breakfast. Then I'd sit with him while he ate, and when he went to get dressed, I'd make his lunch for him to take to work. Then I'd see him off at the door with a kiss, before wearily climbing back into bed to get another hour of rest before starting my own work day.

None of that would have ever gotten me a mention on MSN as someone worth celebrating. The comments section would have literally been full of 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ and misogynistic opining on how I wasn't "hot enough" for my partner.

The way men are celebrated for relatively low effort common courtesies really frosts my cookies sometimes.

I now have terrible cat envy. Those kitties are too cute. I’ve only ever had cats who hate to be picked up or cuddled and believe they are secretly tigers.

This is so sweet!! My NVM used to complain about how much my cat wanted to be with me and I never understood where it came from. Thank god for FDS and all the truths it has taught me. One of which being they will resent anything that loves you the way you should be loved!!!

I read the title as “US husband brings his wife coffee and a cat every morning” at first, and was thinking it meant a different cat each time. And i was wondering where he keeps getting all these cats, and do they just keep them? How many do they have now?
