I went in to a recruitment fair for teachers at the local school. Nobody asked about my teaching experience or master's degree in education or bachelor's in physics. Nobody talked to me. Nobody offered me a job. I was sent packing with a brochure on how to become a teacher. Everybody was talking to the women, offering to help them become teachers, getting them substitute work immediately, etc. Sexist as all hell.

I think you could actually bring a discrimination class action lawsuit and win. The companies would be forced to hire 50% women. They'd have to pay ridiculous amounts of money to get women to do it, so wages would have to go up equally for men. Garbage collectors would be making 6 figures and trash service would cost $1k/mo.

In fact alongside quotas for executive board representatiion there should be quotas for these jobs ... Paid at piece rates of course because wymmen would not be able to do as much heavy lifting as a man. And if they only achieved 10 per cent wymmen in these jobs then executive jobs should match that quota 1 for 1. After all that's equality
